Submitted By: Lyndon Brooker on 29/11/2006 Was a little apprehensive when buying this unit, but I needed it to connect a 360, and a Wii to the component input on my samsung lcd. Was concerned about image quality loss. I'm pleased to report that no problems so far. Picture quality is excellent as long you use a good quality rca cable to connect it to tv. Build quality is a bit shoddy, feels 'cheap' but it does the job for as good a price as i've found elsewhere and also handles s-vhs and analog signals so I could also use it to send my audio devices to my aux input on my audio gear. Note it will remove the ability of devices to recognise which modes your tv equipment is capable of, IE) my xbox 360 is now able to run in 1080p, (where as before it would only attain 1080i) which my TV doesn't support. Not sure if running unsupported modes can damage your screen, but it's worth noting that it can't now auto detect supported modes and also has to test 50hz and 60hz modes manually.
On the whole recommended, so long as you buy a rca cable of equal quality to those you are putting in.
Cheers futureshop.
