What is it?

The Chord Signature RCA represents a radical re-think on the way high frequency effective combination shields are utilised. The isolated return path used so successfully on the Chorus 2 and the Anthem 2 is taken a step further and the return path on the Signature is shielded with the same combination shield used on the signal path. Both shields are fully floating and an optional shield grounding connection is supplied with the cable. This configuration allows the Signature RCA to accurately transmit the subtlest levels of tonal information that are so critical to defining the timbre of individual instruments. At the same time the extremely low noise floor means that the smallest dynamic shifts can be clearly heard and because this helps to clarify the attack of every instrument, the relationships between individual instruments are coherent and easy to follow.

Terminations

The name speaks for itself. The construction of the cable makes it impossible to terminate with anything other than low mass silver-plated RCA/phono plugs.

Uses

The Signature is an award winning (Hi-fi News and Hi-fi +) cable and its performance sets new standards at the price. Any decent CD player, phono stage, DVD audio or SACD player will really benefit. Customer feedback suggests that the Signature can produce dramatic results with surprisingly modest equipment, so it is worth experimenting.

How does it sound?

If the noise floor on the Anthem 2 is low then the Signature‟s is lower still. Applying the combination shielding system to the return as well as the signal path makes the Signature capable of carrying extraordinary levels of dynamic information. The sound is transparent, extremely detailed and very dynamic but the really outstanding quality is the way that it will carry all this information in such a coherent manner. Once it has run in, the Signature will not only amaze at the new levels of detail it brings to the system it is fitted to but also the beautifully coherent manner that music is presented in.
