The Chord Signature Plus is an easily demonstrable upgrade from the Signet. The conductor geometry, Teflon insulation and triple layer high frequency effective shielding system are all identical to the original Signature.
There are two major additions. Signature Plus includes a secondary silver-plated Teflon insulated return conductor. Originally used on first version of the Chord Anthem, the secondary return conductor and its contribution to a cable's ability to carry dynamic information more accurately is significant. The second addition is no less important: Signature Plus is fitted with a specially designed, machined from solid, acrylic plug surround. The company experimented extensively with acrylic before having the original Indigo plug surrounded manufactured. The Signature Plus uses a similar acrylic plug surround and its contribution to the overall presentation and coherence or any piece of music is outstanding.
The Signature Plus builds on the original Signature's performance but it capable of carrying higher levels of micro-dynamic information. The cable's ability to carry musical information coherently is substantially increased and whilst this is extremely easy to hear and enjoy across the entire frequency range, the improvements in bass performance are particularly noticeable. Bass lines integrate better and individual notes have far better separation and tone. As well as this, the combination of the acrylic plug surround and the secondary return conductor make a considerable contribution to a system make a considerable contribution to a system's ability to produce a convincing image and sound stage.

The Chord Signature Plus has been developed from the company’s award-winning Signature RCA interconnect. The Signature Plus is fitted with Chord’s unique acrylic plug casings, first used on the company’s Indigo cable. As well as the acrylic plug casing the Signature Plus has also been fitted with the secondary signal return conductor used on the Indigo Plus. The advances in performance these make are easy to hear, bringing very obvious and striking improvements to timing, dynamics and sound stage. Rhythms become far more obvious and easy to understand, as do the subtle timbrel differences that define the different tonal signatures of acoustic guitars.

Silver-Plated Oxygen Free Copper Conductors
The Chord Company Signature Plus cable features silver-plated oxygen free copper conductors. Silver has a lower resistance than copper. Plating or coating copper conductors with silver reduces the overall resistance to signal flow and prevents the copper from oxidising. This allows the conductor to perform better for longer distances. Silver plating will improve audio performance, improving clarity and detail in audio applications and delivering higher resolution in video applications. |
