The Chord Signet is derived from the original multiple award-winning Signature cable. It shares the two runs of cable for each interconnect, both runs employing a central silver plated solid core conductor, Teflon insulation and a triple layer high frequency effective shielding system.
Signet is fitted with the same low mass; silver-plated RCA plug as the original Signature. Construction is almost identical - only missing Signature's optional grounding cables. The similarities in materials and construction ensure that the performance characteristics of the Signet are directly comparable to the original Chord Signature RCA.

Silver-Plated Oxygen Free Copper Conductors
The Chord Company Signet cable features silver-plated oxygen free copper conductors. Silver has a lower resistance than copper. Plating or coating copper conductors with silver reduces the overall resistance to signal flow and prevents the copper from oxidising. This allows the conductor to perform better for longer distances. Silver plating will improve audio performance, improving clarity and detail in audio applications and delivering higher resolution in video applications. |
