The copper conductors of the IXOS XHT658 HDMI lead are silver plated. Silver has a lower resistance than copper. Plating or coating copper conductors with silver reduces the overall resistance to signal flow and also prevents the copper from oxidising. This allows the conductor to perform better for longer distances. Silver plating will improve both audio and video performance, improving clarity and detail in audio applications and delivering higher resolution in video applications. The XHT658 is the very best HDMI cable available from IXOS.

What You Should Know

Pure Crystal Oxygen Free Copper (PC-OFC) Conductors
The conductor carries delicate audio or video signals and is therefore a critical factor in good performance. While the conductor material is obviously important, of equal importance is the purity of the material used. Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) is by far the most widely used material and comes in many grades. Some have more impurities removed during processing than others. IXOS High Grade PC Oxygen Free Copper (PC-OFC) is the highest purity grade OFC conductor available. IXOS PC-OFC delivers significantly improved overall audio and video performance.

I have been using these cables for 3 years now and it still out performs the chord company silver plus and qed hdmi sr cables that i also have. I now have 3 of these cables connecting both my pioneer blu ray player and my humax foxsat hdr recorder to my amplifier (yamaha rxv 2700), the third lead is linking the yamaha to my pioneer pdp 5090 kuro plasma screen. The ixos gives a slightly sharper, clearer picture with more natural colours especially on skin tones, and it sounds great too. I believe this cable would be very difficult to improve upon, also the service from future shop is excellent, with super fast delivery.

Not wanting to put FutureShop under pressure by setting an excellent precedent, however I placed an order yesterday at 1pm and it arrived this morning at 7am despite going for the standard delivery. Excellent advice and a professional service. This product retails at £120 in some of the more well-known AV shops so to buy two for a fraction above this is a superb deal. Looking forward to hooking them up to my Pioneer LX5090.

First time I have bought from futureshop and their service was excellent, they were also the cheapest I could find on the internet for this cable and I will buy from them again. I was sceptical about buying an expensive HDMI cable but decided to take the plunge and I am really pleased with the results. I bought a full HD Sony 46" Bravia tv and was very disappointed with my existing (cheapish) DVD home cinema system system, a big screen shows all the faults. I decided to buy a Denon 1940 DVD player and teamed it up with this cable and I am very pleased with the results, up scaled DVD at 1080p looks as good as Blueray / HD DVD and a lot cheaper. My only regret is that I should have bought a 2m cable as this is not long enough for my main lead!!! I will be buying the same model in future.

No words can really describe the absolute professionalism of Gary and Andy, I had done "Some" research into my cabling needs before getting into contact with this absolute gem of a company. Gary REALLY went out of his way to explain every minute detail of cabling and what would be the very best for my system, not once did I feel I was being "pressured" to do this and do that. In fact Gary saw a "Flaw" in "my" cabling diagram and immediately ask me to consider another "Way"..Well that way WAS the RIGHT way. He was prepared to talk me through everything, a phone call lasting 35mins...My needs for cabling were finalized with Gary and my order put through, It even gets better I was transferred to another great "Front of company man" named Andy, who then explained the intricacies of "Power conditioning" and why it may be a thing to think about for the future....No hard sell here. Kudos to you both !!! Future shop, Gary and Andy are a credit to your company, making the customer welcomed with a very friendly atmosphere. Needles to say the HDMI cable (IXOS XHT658-100 Silver Plated HDMI 1080p Cable 1m) plus two fantastic scart leads (IXOS XHT801-150 Silver Plated Ingot Scart to Scart Lead 1.5m) and(IXOS XHT601-075 Ingot Scart to Scart Lead 0.75m) were the RIGHT choice. You have my warmest thanks and I will continue to put my cabling needs with yourselves. Oh yeah I forgot my Viera Plasma 50" is an absolute joy with this cabling, when connected to a Sky Digibox (IXOS XHT801-150 Silver Plated Ingot Scart to Scart Lead 1.5m), with the other scart providing a 21pin RGB output from the Digibox to my Panasonic EX77 up scaling DVD recorder, finally this machine is connected to the plasma by the Awesome IXOS XHT658-100 Silver Plated HDMI 1080p Cable 1m.... Thanks guys I'll be getting back soon as I now have a 6.1 AV receiver with speakers on the way (Yes it does have HDMI connectivity!!) Gratefully yours M shaw.
