Submitted By: KIERON FULLER on 10/07/2008 I was looking for a good quality but none too expensive interconnect to run through my car. I decided to add a 4 channel amplifier in the boot of my Mk IV Golf hoping that it would perform at a higher resolution than the stock head unit amplifiers... the only thing in the way was, well, the interior of the vehicle. I managed to install this cable easily under trims and carpets, it is pliable and not too thick and will go through quite tight turns without any signs of stress or kinking. The cable is well presented and has some rather well machined and finished plugs, a good fit but not so tight as to need huge arms to pull them off again.
I am used to using very expensive cables in the house but was a bit stuck as to what to spend in a car. Too cheap and I would alway be left wondering what might have been... too much and I would have just kicked myself. So I settled on 2 pair of 3m front to rear and then a pair of the rather handy lengthed 1.5m as a daisy chain to the sub amp.
Now, sound wise... very impressed. No audiable nasties that I could hear, even though it's hard to say what contributed more to the better sound but I felt happy with the cohesiveness of the overall sound. I have the speakers wired with QED Original so maybe some kind of synergy exists in their stuff. I may well steal the shorter length from the boot one evening and try it under normal conditions, i.e. in the house.
Pound for pound I think this to be a well constructed, honest sounding, value for money cable.
