Submitted By: Cyril Damestoy on 14/12/2007 It's a fabulous cable! I ordered both the 6m and the 3m lenghts, because I'm using a subwofer equalizer (Velodyne SMS1) between my pre-pro and my subwoofer. I configured the SMS1 again yesterday after changing my old subwoofer cables with this new QED SR-SW. I had to modify the settings (if you know the Digital Drive software, you'll understand what I mean by changing settings, this takes a lot of time...) that means that the cables were changing something isn't it? ;o) But what? Some frequencies (under 40Hz) appeared to be stronger delivered that in the past, I had to modify the equalizer level and move eq to new frequencies. Then when listening, sub-frequencies are quicker, and deeper. The overall impression is that something like a ''filter'' has been removed from my subwooder, provinding more performant and percussive sub-basses. Same feeling as with the XT400 speaker cables. I tried yesterday the new setup with a SACD from ERA (fabulous in SACD format!!) and a Blu Ray film with a French PCM5.1 audio track (Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis). Oh my god.... I don't regret this upgrade! Good value for the money, if you hesitate between Qunex P-Series and this Qunex Silver Reference serie... don't hesitate too much, take the Silver Ref ! This make sense with mid and high end subwoofers. The connectors are heavy and strong, connection is robust, the cable looks very nice, you can see the screening foil behind the dark semi.transparent outter jacket, this is a big cable that means it's not so easy to manipulate, but you're quiet with it, you'll get the largest possible bandwith between your subwoofer and your pre-processor, without any interference (RF etc..), and with a very quick signal transfert! Thanks to Adam for the advice! Delivered in 2 days in Luxembourg! Cyril from Belgium/Luxembourg.
