Product Reviewed: Tellurium Q, Blue Mains Cable 1.5m Submitted By: Edward Elliott on 26/07/2016 I bought this cable with a fairly specific hope in my mind: to make my Primare i22 sound more like an i32 (!). I already had a non-basic cable on the i22 (a Wireworld Stratus 7, which I bought after success with a Stratus 5 2 on another amp), but after buying that I bought Tellurium Q Black speaker cable, and thought that was stunning (it was feeding KEF LS50s). A review of the i22 online recommended pairing it with a good mains cable, so that was how it started. I love the i22, but with the LS50s there was a harshness in the upper mids (which was helped a bit when I followed my dealer's advice and removed the rear spikes from my speaker stands (in turn recommended to him by the KEF rep). There was also something that I can describe only as "something missing" from the lower mids with this set-up.
Because I loved everything else about the i22 so much, I started to dream of an i32 with its extra power (something of an irony!). But I couldn't afford it, so I looked for other solutions. The Stratus 7 definitely improved the i22, and with the success of my speaker cable, I decided to upgrade to the Tellurium Q Blue mains cable. It must be mostly burned in now, and, whether or not it is because it is what I wanted to hear (but I think not) it really has improved the areas I wanted, and generally given a richer and fuller sound - and certainly an improvement over the Wireworld .
I don't know whether or not that helps anyone, but I have found it so good I no longer yearn for an i32! 5 out of 5
