The Wireworld “Ultraviolet” DVI to DVI Cable departs from the “Chroma” models by featuring silver-clad OFC conductors for superior durability and shielding. Rather than standard nickel, the contacts within each plug are coated with a thick layer of silver and these is in turn are plated with gold. This results in significant reduction of signal loss.

The Ultraviolet utilises Wireworld's superior gold tube plugs and grain-optimised silver-clad oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors in a precise 75-ohm design, providing distinctly greater clarity and contrast than conventional video cables. The Ultraviolet benefits from solid metal plugs (as found on the higher-end Starlight and Silver Starlight models), which maximise signal quality through the encoding and decoding process, with minimal loss or distortion.

Its remarkably thin profile and flexible design, makes it the easiest DVI cable to install and conceal. It offers significantly lower loss and higher precision than the conventional round HDMI cable design. The Wireworld patented design improves on conventional designs by providing better separation and isolation the different type of signals transmitted through the cable. Most importantly, it keeps both 75ohm and 5v sleeved and shielded in their own compartments and guarantees an accurate reproduction of 1080p & 1080i images. The Ultraviolet HD cable is offered with a variety of configurations to meet almost every conceivable need. It is available in HDMI to HDMI, HDMI to DVI and DVI to DVI terminations. The cable also features unique composite shields, which are more conductive, yet more compact than the shields in round DVI cables.

This cable will NEVER fail to reproduce an accurate picture at resolutions of up to 1080p at lengths of up to 15m and 720p/1080i up to 12.0m. The model is UL-CL3/FT4 rated for in-wall installations. The Ultraviolet 5² DVI to DVI Cable has been designed to connect and transfer digital video signals between a PC, DVD or a Satellite/Cable box and the following components: AV Processor, LCD Display, Plasma, Projector and TV. This cable can be used between DVI-D & DVI-I, DVI-I & DVI-I, as well as DVI-D & DVI-D connections.
