Stillpoints

When it comes to enhancing the performance and musicality of audio systems, Stillpoints has been a trusted name in the industry for the past several years. Their isolation products have consistently impressed and transformed the way systems perform, leaving enthusiasts delighted with the results. Rather than manipulating the presentation, Stillpoints products simply allow your system to reach its peak potential, maximising the value of your investment. Every audio system comprises various components, including speakers, amplification, sources, and power distribution. Unfortunately, these components generate mechanical noise and vibrations that can disrupt the system's performance. Even minute vibrations can obscure the musical communication that the system intends to convey.

By incorporating Stillpoints isolation products under your system components and bypassing traditional soft rubber feet and metal spikes, you provide an outlet for unwanted energy. Stillpoints feature "technology pockets" consisting of multiple layers of ceramic ball bearings, which effectively trap and dissipate this energy, lowering the noise floor and unveiling your system's true potential. The primary function of Stillpoints isolation products is to remove excess mechanical energy. When a system is correctly "floated" using Stillpoints, the transparency and resolution of the system significantly improve. The impact of Stillpoints is typically immediate and rarely falls short of expectations, leading many enthusiasts to incorporate them into their systems. The result is enhanced immediacy, spaciousness, airiness, clarity, and resolution, elevating the overall musical experience.

Crafted with the highest standards, all Stillpoints products boast impeccable build quality, with the company's name laser-etched onto each item. The stainless steel used is carefully selected for optimal performance, and every piece undergoes cryogenic freezing at the factory. Technically, Stillpoints isolation products can be classified as resonance control filters. Within each Stillpoint, technology pockets containing ceramic ball bearings and steel races minimise contact, effectively "floating" the component they support. The number of pockets varies depending on the model, and the performance levels also vary across the range. The impact that Stillpoints can have on system performance is truly remarkable. As mentioned earlier, they enhance resolution and textures, revealing multiple musical layers and subtle nuances previously congested or inaudible.

Stillpoints offers an extensive range of products, including six primary models (Ultra Mini, Ultra SS, Ultra 2, Ultra LPI, Ultra 5, and Ultra 6), the Ultra 7 for loudspeakers, the Aperture II Acoustic Wall Panel, bases, threaded adapters, and a turntable weight called Ultra LPI.

Considering where to start and what component to Stillpoint first is an important decision. Not everyone can afford to float their entire system at once, so many customers gradually incorporate Stillpoints into their system, appreciating the incremental improvements along the way. Placing Stillpoints under a power conditioner or strip can yield remarkable results. While floating the entire system can be a transformative experience, choosing which component to Stillpoint first is subjective and depends on each unique system. However, starting with the loudspeakers often provides the most significant benefits. After all, the speakers are responsible for moving air, creating energy, and offering a window into the system's sound.

Consider the surface on which your system sits, as it can also impact performance. Glass shelves and metal-framed equipment stands are prone to ringing and energy transference, while wood furniture tends to be less problematic. Starting with the loudspeakers or addressing the surface on which your system rests is a sensible approach. With the correct threaded adapters, bases, and a bit of patience and experience, Stillpoints can deliver exceptional results. For stand-mount speakers, place the Stillpoints between the stand and the speaker to minimise the influence of the speaker cabinet.
