A bad plasma TV, a surprising discovery, and the beginning of something bigger.
Our story began with a moment of curiosity and a desire to solve a problem. In 2004, founder Abdul Aslam purchased a high-end plasma TV, only to be disappointed by the performance at home. His investigations revealed the surprising truth: the quality of AV cables made a significant difference. Frustrated by the lack of informed advice available, Abdul decided to bridge the gap.
With £3,000 in savings and a small stock of Scart cables, Future Shop was born. We launched in April 2005 and processed our very first order on 4 April. That one order marked the beginning of something far bigger than we ever imagined.

With £3,000 in savings, he saw an opportunity to fill the gap with honest, expert guidance. Future Shop processed its first order on 4 April 2005.

Today, Future Shop is a multi-channel retailer, shipping to over 50 countries and supporting tens of thousands of customers. Rapidly expanded our brand portfolio and built relationships with AudioQuest, Chord Company, QED, and other leading cable manufacturers. Expert advisory model established.

Invested in professional Nordost Vidar cable conditioning equipment, allowing us to offer factory-grade burn-in treatment as a free service on qualifying cables.
