Conditioning without choking the amplifier
The usual criticism of mains conditioning is that filtering restricts current, and that an amplifier asking for a sudden large draw finds the conditioner in the way. ISOL-8 design specifically against that, and it is the argument the company was founded on.
The approach separates high-current and low-current outlets, filtering the sensitive sources heavily while leaving the amplifier path with the headroom it needs. The larger products add DC blocking, which addresses transformer hum from a mains supply carrying an offset.
That last point is worth knowing: if your amplifier's transformer buzzes, DC on the mains is a likely cause and it is a fixable one.
The range runs from compact blocks to full conditioners, all built in Britain.
