What Entreq mean by grounding, and why it is not mains conditioning
Entreq work on a problem most of the industry addresses from a different direction. Mains conditioners clean the electricity going into a component. Entreq boxes do nothing to the mains at all. They give noise that has already accumulated on a chassis a path away from the signal circuitry.
The boxes are passive and contain no electronics. They are filled with a mix of minerals and metals that Entreq will not fully specify, connected to a component's earth or chassis point by a dedicated cable. There is no filtering, no active circuit and nothing in the signal path, which means the effect is either audible in your system or it is not, with no risk of the box degrading anything.
That is worth saying plainly, because grounding is an area where scepticism is reasonable and Entreq attract more of it than most. Our position is that it is a product best judged in your own system rather than argued about in the abstract.
Per-Olof Friberg founded the company in Sweden and the boxes are still built there. Alongside grounding, Entreq make cables, racks and isolation products, all using the same materials thinking.
