Replacing the supply that came in the box
A great deal of network audio equipment ships with a switching power supply chosen on cost. Streamers, routers, switches and NAS drives all fall into this category, and all of them sit close to the signal path.
Plixir build linear supplies to replace them, in the voltages and connector types those devices actually use, along with balanced isolation transformers for larger installations.
The balanced approach is worth understanding. A balanced transformer splits the mains into two halves either side of earth, which cancels a good deal of common mode noise before it reaches anything.
Getting the voltage, polarity and current rating right is essential. Send us the device you want to power and we will confirm the correct supply.
