Replacing the supply that came in the box
A great deal of network audio equipment ships with a switching power supply chosen on cost. Streamers, routers, network switches and NAS drives all fall into this category, and all of them sit close to the signal path.
Plixir build linear replacements, handcrafted in Singapore since 2014 and tuned by founder James Soh. What makes them unusual is that the balanced transformer sits inside the DC supply itself. A balanced design splits the mains into two halves either side of earth, +115V and -115V from a 230V supply, which cancels common mode noise before anything downstream sees it.
Elite BDC covers most devices, in 2A, 4A and 6A versions with one or two outputs. Statement BDC sits above it with a bespoke Noratel transformer and a refined three-stage regulation circuit. The Elite BAC applies the same balanced thinking to AC for a whole system.
Voltage, polarity and current rating all have to match the device, so check the original supply before ordering.
