Wireworld Cables
Flat conductor geometry that genuinely differs from the round cables everyone else builds. David Salz designed a comparator to measure cables against a direct connection, and the ranges came out of what it showed.

David Salz's cable comparator, and what came out of it
Most cable design is comparative: you listen to one cable against another and judge which you prefer. David Salz did something better. An industrial designer who founded Wireworld in Fort Lauderdale in 1992, he built a cable comparator that switches a signal path between the cable under test and a direct connection of almost no length, so the reference is not another cable but the absence of one. The device took a CES Innovations award in 1996 and holds a patent of its own.
That changes the design goal. Instead of aiming for a preferred sound, Wireworld aim for the smallest possible difference from no cable at all, and every design decision gets tested against that benchmark.
Two developments came out of it. DNA Helix, short for Delineated Neutralizing Array, runs flat conductors in parallel paths rather than twisting them around bundles, which cuts the eddy current losses that conventional geometries generate. Composilex is Wireworld's own insulation, developed because standard dielectrics generate triboelectric noise through friction between conductor and insulation when a cable flexes or vibrates, and successive formulations have reduced it further. Both are patented.
Wireworld cover an unusually wide catalogue for a specialist maker, from entry HDMI through to reference speaker cable, and the comparator gets used across all of it rather than just at the top.

Wireworld use different level names depending on cable type, which is the main thing to get straight. Analogue uses Luna, Oasis, Equinox, Eclipse and Platinum Eclipse. Digital uses Chroma, Starlight, Silver Starlight and Platinum Starlight. So Eclipse and Starlight are not the same level. The cards below group the names that sit at the same point, so you can find the equivalent in another cable type.

Chroma 8 USB brings the rewarding sound quality of Uni-Path design down to a price that is only slightly higher than standard cables. Like all Wireworld USB cables, the noise-absorbing power conductor improves sonic purity. Exceeds official USB high-speed specifications. These flat cables utilize Wireworld’s exclusive Uni-Path conductor geometry, Composilex 3 insulation and noise-absorbing power conductors to improve the fidelity of music and video. The designs were developed through listening tests that compared prototype cables to virtually loss-free direct connections between components.
