About NuPrime Audio
Quick Access
Serious power from a small box
Jason Lim co-founded NuForce in 2005 and left in 2013. The following year he bought NuForce's high-end division and the rights to its Class D technology, and started NuPrime. The amplifiers are still built in the same Taiwanese factory.
The distinction is that NuPrime design their own Class D stage rather than buying a module. That lets them run a Class A input stage in series with it, which manufacturers using off-the-shelf modules cannot do, and switch at 700kHz, well above the standard designs. The current output stage is the fourth generation of the original NuForce circuit.
The result is output that would normally need a large chassis and a heavy transformer, from a box that fits on a shelf and runs cool. In 2015 NuPrime took four Product of the Year awards from The Absolute Sound and SoundStage.
Three ranges: Evolution at the top, AMG in the middle, and the 9 Series as the entry point, with the Omnia streaming components and integrated amplifiers alongside.
