A revelation!

I have Martin Logan panel speakers and a Musical Fidelity Mi6 amp, upgraded by JS Audio. When music got busy, things got a little bright sounding and mushy. It was quite unpleasant for long periods. I tried Rocket 11 (single bi-wire) to replace my QED Revelation (twin pairs, so fully bi-wired). Prior to this I had tried Chord Signature and Odyssey cables. The Rocket 11s were a revelation: exceptionally detailed, but smooth and with great presence and a huge sound stage. Easily the BEST cable I've ever used and ridiculously cheap for such performance. I could live with these forever but I was tempted to try the 33s, to see if I could build on the 11's attributes further. I'll paste a review on these on the Rocket 33 page when they arrive.

If I had to gripe it would be the 11's terminations, which seem cheap after the beautifully made QED AIRLOCs I was used to. I'm not sure either - but don't care! - whether my performance improvement was a trait of biwiring. AudioQuest is one of the few companies recommending bi-wiring if your speakers are capable of it. There's an intriguing PDF on the company website which explains more.

To my mind it's never about the cost with cables; it's about what construction, impedance, etc suits your amp, speakers and ears. So start with a well recommended 'budget' cable and see if it works any magic. If not, try another well recommended budget cable from a different manufacturer. Something will just click with your system.

First rate service from Future Shop, as always. Top guys. If you can wait, I suggest going for the free cable burn in.

Shocked, but in a good way.

Having previously been a firm believer that speaker wire doesn't matter that much (to a degree), I ended up getting drunk, going down an internet rabbit hole and purchased these cables. I had completed forgotten I'd done this when they arrived so was fairly confused when I opened the bag.

Luckily in my drunken state I selected the correct terminals for my mid range set up. Using them with the Sonos Amp + B&W607s alongside the B&W ASW610 and a couple of Sonos One SLs for rears (have these disabled for music and only active for surround sound).

I was quite frankly blown away by the difference in sound quality the cables produced, noticeable most for me in the crispness of the high notes, still sounding like B&W sound but tighter and more refined.

Would highly recommend and Future Shop did a great job at building the cables and sending in a timely fashion to West Australia which is impressive as I'm pretty sure the post office here still operates with horse and cart.

Much love, thanks guys, will be back if I need to expand. xx

Working well - still running in.

As usual excellent service. I've had to change from Nordost Flatline, quite old now but still excellent, because I needed a longer run due to changes in the speaker placement, giving them more space, which has improved their sound a lot, btw. The cable arrived promptly and I was initially impressed with the very professional terminations, even down to different lengths for the bass/mid and treble bi- wire inputs at the speaker end.

The immediate performance was much better than I expected, even though, impatiently, I didn't choose burn in. I've had it connected for a week now, and I am liking this cable more and more with use, especially with my better recordings, on Vinyl, CD, and from Laptop to DAC. Everything is generally very good, and sometimes startling - in a good way.

Noticeable upgrade on previous Audioquest Slip 14/4

The Audioquest Rocket 11 bi-wire speaker cables replaced Audioquest Slip 14/4 cables which were purchased from Future Shop about 6 years ago. This cable is an immediate noticeable upgrade from the Slip 14/4, with no burn in. Most noticeable was a more defined and detailed bass and slightly clearer treble, mid range is similar to Slip. For the price this is a great set of cables.

One of the major advantages of Audioquest Slip & Rocket speaker cables is the option of single or bi-wired configuration at no cost for the bi-wired option (other than for additional plugs). The banana SureGrip 300 plugs are high quality well made plugs. l have found Future Shop great to deal with, cables arrive quickly (Australia) and well packed. The Rocket cables run from a Jungson JA 88D-09 amp to Whatmough 302 signature speakers with Cyrus CD transport (CDXT SE) and DAC (DAC X SIGNATURE). Am enjoying listening to my music (progressive rock, jazz & reggae) very much with this set up.

Very happy Future Shop client.

Great speaker cable and bi-wirable

This is a chunky speaker cable but still flexible! I wanted to try a bi-wired cable and used these Rocket 11 cables to replace some QED XT25 cables going into my Wharfedale Evo 4.2.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that not only do AudioQuest label the terminations with Amp and Speaker, they also label the speaker-side terminations with treble and bass. Small touches, but appreciated. The alteration in sound was insane. Better? That's up for your ears to decide. What I noticed instantly was a tightening up of the bass. The most marked change was greater clarity of trebles/mids, vocals became a whole lot clearer.

Can also say that the customer service from Future Shop was fantastic!

With these speaker cables I've noticed an improvement for the entire frequency range. A sound with more detail and more "open" or clear.
Alseo, five stars for FutureShop sales department for their attention.

Futureshop highly recommended. Very good cable

Very interesting cable, well balanced, fairly neutral.

Futureshop was exemplary in assembly and above all in customer service. I write from Italy and I used the Royal mail delivery service, which I found very slow, but to lower the shipping costs it was necessary. Shame not to have an express courier service at an acceptable cost.

Worth your investment in this cable

Couldn’t wait to replace the Wireworld Luna 6 when I’d received my order a week ago.

Deeper bass note was the most distinctive difference from the previous cable and I find the sound stage has improved too. I am happy with the performance of this cable.

Lastly, I would like to thank Glyn Atkins for his prompt reply to my query via email.

Would highly recommend futureshop and AudioQuest cables

Would highly recommend futureshop and AudioQuest cables.

Very impressed by futureshop - cables arrived very quickly, exactly as described, no fussing about. I had to replace my AudioQuest Indigo cables when I moved house because I had to place my speakers further apart and they just wouldn't reach.

First, made the mistake of getting some cheap, but well rated cables (you know the type - with transparent housing so you can see all the copper), but I felt I was just listening to the speaker cables (and not my old Audiolab 8000/Mission 752 Freedom system).

Switched to these Rocket 11 biwires and, while not in the same league as the old Indigos in the bass, they nonetheless made a vast improvement, with a much better balanced sound. It's a false economy to go for anything less. Buy 'em here.
