Converting vibration rather than absorbing it
Most isolation either couples rigidly or decouples with a compliant material. Stillpoints do neither. Inside each Ultra sits an assembly of ceramic balls in a hardened housing, arranged so that vibrational energy entering the device is converted to heat through friction between the elements.
The claim is specific and the construction is visible in the cutaway drawings, which is more than many isolation products offer.
The range runs from the Ultra Mini through the Ultra 5 and 6 to the larger platforms and the Aperture room panels, with different models rated for different loads.
These are among the more expensive isolation products available and the effect is system dependent. Start with the source or the component you suspect is most affected rather than treating everything at once.

Stillpoints Ultra Base for Ultra SS V2, Ultra II V2, Ultra 5 V2SKU: Stillpoints Ultra Base
£100.00Inc. VATThe Ultra Base can be connected to the Ultra SS V2, Ultra II V2, Ultra 5 V2, and directly to any component in a system. One 1/4-20 x 5/8″ set screw is included with each Ultra Base. The 1/4-20 adapter listed below allows connection of the Ultra Base to the beveled lower section of the Ultra 5. The added height will provide more ventilation space under an amplifier if needed. The Ultra Base can also spread the mass of whatever is being supported over a larger area adding stability in some applications. Adding the Ultra Base to any Stillpoint can increase the performance of that Stillpoint significantly. Sold singly. -

Designed for use with components or floorstanding speakers, the Ultra 5 V2 contains four "technology pockets" in each unit and can be used without the Ultra Base on a perfectly level floor. The beveled base aids the adjustment of speakers once they have been fitted. Sold singly. -

It is designed so that Stillpoints fitted to the rack come into direct contact with your equipment, meaning they are better able to deal with the mechanical vibrations created by it.
Please note: this product DOES NOT come with any isolation feet included - instead, there is an Ultra Base supplied with each leg. You will need to order any desired isolation feet separately.
