Chord Shawline Analogue interconnects are built to exacting standards and rigorously tested at Chord's UK facility. Tuned ARAY interconnects require extremely precise construction methods and each cable has been built by Chord's team of trained technicians.

This cable is part of the Shawline cable range which includes loudspeaker cable and digital and analogue interconnects. Shawline cables have been designed to perform together. However, all Chord interconnects and speaker cables follow a similar design philosophy. This means that all Chord cable ranges are compatible with each other.

Epic XL combines elements of Chord's Epic and Signature Reference/XL speaker cables. A specially chosen soft PVC internal jacket is added to correctly space the shielding and minimise mechanical noise. A high density braid and foil shield is applied to each set of conductors and this is in turn protected by a translucent outer jacket, again chosen to reduce unwanted mechanical noise.

The flagship M6 offers the best performance and utilises three hybrid MainsARAYs fitted in parallel (rather than in series) to the bus bars, removing high-frequency noise whilst remaining outside of the circuit. Rather than being star-wired (which is susceptible to RFI), the wiring is run along three bus bars which are all isolated from each other. The earth bus bar is kept as far away as possible from both the live and neutral.
