Apollo Atlas WM1 Wall Mount
The Apollo Atlas WM1 is a wall-mounted shelf built from solid oak and designed primarily for turntables, addressing one of the more persistent problems in vinyl playback that a conventional rack cannot solve. In rooms where the floor has any degree of bounce or deflection, a turntable placed on a standard rack will pick up that movement through the structure, causing the stylus to skip and the listening experience to suffer. Mounting the turntable directly to the wall removes it from that path entirely, providing a stable, vibration-free platform that a floor-standing rack simply cannot replicate in those conditions.
The shelf is crafted to complement the Apollo Podium and Storm ranges and features a 20mm gap between the shelf surface and the wall, giving cables a clean route behind the unit rather than trailing visibly around it. Two additional cut-outs in the shelf allow power and signal cables to be routed separately, reducing the risk of interference between the two and keeping the installation as tidy as possible. The shelf itself is non-adjustable once mounted, so any levelling needs to be handled either through the turntable's own feet or via the optional Apollo Isoplinth 1 Isolation Shelf Module, which is sold separately and adds four adjustable spikes with sorbothane-damped spike shoes for precise levelling and additional sonic isolation.
Professional installation is recommended, as the included wall bolts are suited to solid walls only and different wall types will require appropriate fixings. A maximum load of 20kg should be considered the practical limit in most installations, depending on wall type and installation quality. As with all Apollo oak products, natural variation in grain and colour between units is to be expected. Made in the UK.
