AudioQuest RCA Noise-Stoppers (Set of 10)

Keep your audio system performing at its best with AudioQuest RCA Noise-Stopper Caps. These specialized caps are engineered to shield your equipment from unwanted radio frequency (RFI) and electromagnetic (EMI) interference that can degrade sound quality. Ideal for covering unused RCA inputs and outputs, they offer a simple yet highly effective way to reduce noise and improve overall system performance.

Each cap is equipped with 23 internal springs to ensure a snug, universal fit on any standard RCA jack. This secure connection not only enhances electrical insulation but also acts as a barrier against dust and corrosion, helping to extend the life of your components. Whether you're running a high-end stereo setup or a home theater system, these noise-stopper caps provide a noticeable audio upgrade by eliminating potential signal contamination.

With a clean, discreet design and long-lasting build, AudioQuest RCA Noise-Stopper Caps are a smart and easy addition for audiophiles looking to maintain audio purity. Optimize your setup and protect your gear down to the smallest detail.

Features

  • Block Unwanted Noise for Cleaner Audio Performance: Open RCA jacks can allow RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) to enter your system, subtly degrading sound quality. AudioQuest RCA Noise-Stopper Caps seal these unused inputs, preventing interference from contaminating your audio signal.
  • Universal Fit with Secure 23-Spring Design: Unlike generic caps that may fit loosely or fall off, AudioQuest RCA Noise-Stopper Caps feature 23 internal springs, ensuring a snug, universal fit for all standard RCA inputs and outputs.
  • Long-Lasting Protection Against Dust and Corrosion: Unused RCA inputs are prone to collecting dust and experiencing corrosion due to oxidation, which can negatively affect connectivity over time. These Noise-Stopper Caps act as a barrier, preserving the integrity of your connections.
  • A Simple Upgrade for High-Purity Sound: Even minor noise interference can subtly degrade system performance. Whether you’re a home theater enthusiast or an audiophile striving for the best sound, these caps offer a low-cost, high-value solution to keeping your system pristine.
  • Designed for Serious Audiophiles and Home Theater Enthusiasts: When every detail of your system matters, protecting open RCA inputs ensures the cleanest signal path possible. Enjoy an immersive listening experience without unwanted background interference.
  • Professional-Grade Solution for Custom Installers: Integrators and AV professionals trust AudioQuest for high-performance solutions. Noise-Stopper Caps impart a clean, finished look to even the tidiest rack builds while reducing potential interference and ensuring long-term system reliability.

About AudioQuest

AudioQuest has been the largest cable supplier to the high-end specialist market for many years. AudioQuest is sold in several hundred outlets in the US and in over sixty countries. Bill Lowe (Founder) is especially pleased that this success has been possible despite his insistence that the foundation of the company, and the foundation of AudioQuest marketing, must be the performance of the product. In the audio world, many professionals have learned that it is not always convenient to listen to the products they sell … they might learn something they don’t want to know! Bill has always understood the challenge of basing the existence of AudioQuest on the performance of the product. However, to Bill, this is the only reasonable way to do business and the only acceptable way to combine his passion for music (and all things high performance), with his need to make a living.

About AudioQuest

Californian cable maker covering analogue, digital, speaker and power cables, with patented conductor and dielectric designs.

AudioQuest is based in Irvine, California, and makes cables for nearly every connection in a system: analogue interconnects, USB, HDMI and Ethernet, speaker cables and AC power cables. Its designs come back to four ideas: solid conductors, directionality, noise dissipation and the quality of the metal.

Conductor and metal choices come first

Solid conductors and metal quality are two of the ideas AudioQuest returns to across its range. HyperLitz, a conductor construction patented in 1988, is another. Directionality, the principle that a cable is built to carry signal in one direction, is the fourth.

Noise is treated as a separate design problem

AudioQuest lists its noise-dissipation technologies as ZERO-Tech, RF/ND-Tech and the Dielectric-Bias System, which was patented in 2004. They are applied alongside the conductor work rather than in place of it, and which ones a cable carries depends on the model and its price.

One brand across the whole system

AudioQuest also makes AC power cables, Niagara and PowerQuest power conditioners and DragonFly DACs alongside its analogue, digital and speaker cables. If you are building or upgrading a system, that means every cable in the chain, and the power feeding it, can come from one design approach.

Why we stock AudioQuest

We took AudioQuest on for HDMI. When the 1.4 spec arrived in 2009 they were the first supplier who could actually get the cables to us, at a point when almost nobody could. The power cables turned out to be just as good, and they are now a bigger part of what we sell than the HDMI ever was.

Frequently Asked Questions

AudioQuest cables with a battery pack feature the Dielectric-Bias System (DBS). This system maintains a constant electrostatic field across the cable’s insulation, reducing time-based distortion and helping the cable’s dielectric behave more consistently. The result is improved clarity, tighter dynamics, and a more natural sound. The battery doesn’t power the signa, it simply conditions the cable to perform at a higher level from the moment it’s installed.

Yes. Upgrading power cables can significantly improve system performance, even more so when using components sensitive to noise. AudioQuest power cables are designed to reduce radio-frequency and electromagnetic interference (RF/EMI), stabilise current delivery, and improve the noise floor of your system. Many customers report noticeable gains in detail, dynamics, and overall tonal balance, especially when paired with AudioQuest Niagara power conditioners.

AudioQuest HDMI cables are designed for different performance tiers, each using higher-grade materials and noise-dissipation technologies. Cinnamon features 1.25% silver-plated conductors and solid insulation, ideal for 4K systems. Carbon increases silver content and shielding, offering improved clarity for both audio and video. Vodka adds higher purity silver conductors and advanced carbon-based noise-dissipation for reference-level setups. All current models support 4K/8K, HDR, and eARC. Your choice depends on the performance level of your system and how much detail you want to extract.

Each interconnect in the range offers a step up in materials and performance: Evergreen: Solid LGC (Long-Grain Copper), foamed-polyethylene insulation, and gold-plated plugs. Golden Gate: Adds better insulation and geometry for improved detail. Sydney: Features higher-purity Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+), more advanced shielding, and cold-welded terminations. All three are direction-controlled and designed for low distortion, choose based on your system’s resolution and listening priorities.

Yes. AudioQuest Ethernet cables, like Cinnamon, Vodka, and Diamond, are ideal for high-resolution streaming. They use solid conductors, high-quality materials, and advanced shielding to reduce packet errors and noise interference, which can affect timing and sound quality. Many listeners report better clarity, detail, and reduced harshness when switching to a higher-grade Ethernet cable for music streaming.

They can. Reduced noise and jitter can improve audio clarity, particularly when using eARC, Dolby Atmos or other high bandwidth audio formats.

Many users report improved dynamics, lower noise, and better detail, particularly with source components and amplifiers.

This is the most common question about any mains power cable, and it is a fair one. The honest answer is yes, in many systems, particularly those built around quality components that are sensitive to mains noise. The UK mains supply carries a significant amount of RF interference and noise from household devices, smart meters, and the broader electrical grid. AudioQuest mains cables are designed to reduce the amount of that noise reaching your equipment. The improvement tends to be most noticeable as a quieter background, better low-level detail, and a more stable, controlled sound.
