AudioQuest Rocket 22 Speaker Cable - 3m Factory Terminated Pair
This is the same Rocket 22 that has topped our speaker cable reviews for years, now available as a ready-made pair. No custom order, no wait: these are factory terminated 3m pairs, fitted with AudioQuest's silver-plated, moulded banana plugs at both ends, and supplied boxed exactly as AudioQuest ship them.
It is a limited batch, and once it is gone we cannot reorder to the same spec. If 3m banana to banana is what your system needs, this is the fastest way to a Rocket 22.
Here is what AudioQuest says about the Rocket 22
Launched alongside the Rocket 11, the Rocket 22 improves on the Rocket 11's award-winning formula by increasing the gauge of conductors, lowering it's impedance and combining AudioQuest's Long-Grain Copper (LGC) with Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC). All of these adjustments mean the Rocket 22 offers improved clarity, reduced harshness and superior bass-to-treble frequency extension while remaining affordable. The SureGrip 100 and 300 plugs are the perfect compliment to the Rocket 22 by utlising direct-silver/gold plating compared to the distortion-casuing nickel commonly found in standard banana plugs.
The AudioQuest Rocket series is one of the most successful AudioQuest speaker cables due to its excellent design and construction. The Rocket series is an ideal speaker cable for entry to mid-level range Hi-Fi and AV systems. This latest cable in the Rocket series, is constructed from a mix of the award-winning AudioQuest FLX/SLiP 14/4 and AudioQuest Rocket 33 speaker cables.
The Rocket 22 speaker cable utilises both 'Long-Grain Copper' and 'Perfect-Surface Copper' semi-solid true-concentric conductors, a first for AudioQuest. The combination of 'Long-Grain Copper', 'Perfect-Surface Copper' and true-concentric conductors ensures the Rocket 22 delivers a more balanced, dynamic and cleaner sound. Rocket 22 is available as both single wire and biwire configuration.
A clearly audible step up from Rocket 11, Rocket 22 is a high-performance, low-noise, CL3/FT4-certified cable designed to quickly and easily accommodate either Full-Range or Single-BiWire applications, making it an outstanding choice for custom installers and enthusiasts alike. With no breakouts, pants, or braids to cut back and dress, preparation is as simple as can be.
"True-Concentric" is an industry standard term for when each layer of strands in a concentric conductor is spiraled in the opposite direction from the layer below, eliminating the lines of contact between the layers, and increasing contact pressure at the points of contact. The downside is much more machine time and higher cost, the upside is better sound you can hear. True-Concentric construction significantly furthers the beneficial effect of the skin-effect by dramatically increasing layer autonomy.

About AudioQuest
AudioQuest has been the largest cable supplier to the high-end specialist market for many years. AudioQuest is sold in several hundred outlets in the US and in over sixty countries. Bill Lowe (Founder) is especially pleased that this success has been possible despite his insistence that the foundation of the company, and the foundation of AudioQuest marketing, must be the performance of the product. In the audio world, many professionals have learned that it is not always convenient to listen to the products they sell … they might learn something they don't want to know! Bill has always understood the challenge of basing the existence of AudioQuest on the performance of the product. However, to Bill, this is the only reasonable way to do business and the only acceptable way to combine his passion for music (and all things high performance), with his need to make a living.
About AudioQuest
Californian cable maker covering analogue, digital, speaker and power cables, with patented conductor and dielectric designs.
AudioQuest is based in Irvine, California, and makes cables for nearly every connection in a system: analogue interconnects, USB, HDMI and Ethernet, speaker cables and AC power cables. Its designs come back to four ideas: solid conductors, directionality, noise dissipation and the quality of the metal.

Conductor and metal choices come first
Solid conductors and metal quality are two of the ideas AudioQuest returns to across its range. HyperLitz, a conductor construction patented in 1988, is another. Directionality, the principle that a cable is built to carry signal in one direction, is the fourth.
Noise is treated as a separate design problem
AudioQuest lists its noise-dissipation technologies as ZERO-Tech, RF/ND-Tech and the Dielectric-Bias System, which was patented in 2004. They are applied alongside the conductor work rather than in place of it, and which ones a cable carries depends on the model and its price.
One brand across the whole system
AudioQuest also makes AC power cables, Niagara and PowerQuest power conditioners and DragonFly DACs alongside its analogue, digital and speaker cables. If you are building or upgrading a system, that means every cable in the chain, and the power feeding it, can come from one design approach.
Why we stock AudioQuest
We took AudioQuest on for HDMI. When the 1.4 spec arrived in 2009 they were the first supplier who could actually get the cables to us, at a point when almost nobody could. The power cables turned out to be just as good, and they are now a bigger part of what we sell than the HDMI ever was.
