HDMI matrices and switches route your sources
Blustream's HDMI matrices and switches let you send several sources to several displays. The range includes 4x4 matrices such as the MX44AB-V2 and smaller switches such as the SW21AB-V2 and SW41AB-V2. A presentation switch, the MFP112, suits meeting rooms. Check the specification for the inputs and outputs.
HDBaseT extenders carry signals over distance
HDBaseT sends video, audio and control over a single network cable, which lets you place a display well away from its source. Blustream lists receivers such as the RX70AMP, which includes an amplifier, and extender sets such as the HEX100HDVGA-KIT.
Converters and cables fill the gaps
Audio extractors and converters, including the CAT100AU, DAC12AU, HD11AU, ADC11AU and DIG11AU, let you pull audio out of an HDMI signal or convert its format. Micro HDMI cables are also available, which helps when a source has only a micro connector.

The Blustream DAC 12AU converts digital optical audio signals to analogue outputs for connection to stereo systems and amplifiers. Customers consistently praise its sound quality, compact size, and metal construction as superior to cheaper alternatives. The device handles TV, Freesat, Sky Q, and streaming sources reliably with minimal setup required. Users appreciate the included power supply and value for money at its price point. Future Shop's customer service, including pre-purchase advice and fast delivery, receives frequent commendation. One reviewer noted a minor connection caution regarding RCA cable placement, and another mentioned requiring the dedicated power supply to avoid interference. No substantial complaints or build quality issues were identified across the reviews.
From the off, it sounded well-balanced, and it has just got better as time has gone on. For the reasonable price, it's an excellent product. I think you'll have to spend a whole lot more to make improvements.
I purchased the Blustream DAC because I wanted to downsize from a 5.1 with the receiver to a stereo system. My stereo amp is analogue only, so I needed a DAC to allow connection to the TV via optical cable.
It is simple and works perfectly. It is also small and discreet……I have mine sitting behind the amplifier on four small pieces of bluetac.
It sounds way better than the cheap items from a certain online company, and for my system, a DAC costing hundreds of pounds would be overkill.
So, this is the sweet spot for me. Enjoy.
It works well using the QED Performance Toslink Digital Optical Audio cable (Graphite), which I also purchased from FutureShop after they gave me helpful advice on the phone.
