Signature

Signature is the top of QED's mainstream range, using Analoc high purity conductors and Airloc termination throughout. Airloc cold-forms the connector onto the conductor under pressure rather than soldering it, which removes a different metal from the signal path, and Signature applies it across every cable type. Below it, Reference is the step for a well matched system and is where most people building carefully will settle. Signature covers HDMI, RCA and XLR interconnects, Ethernet and speaker cable. It is a range for a resolving system where the cable has been chosen deliberately rather than by default, and where the rest of the chain is capable of showing what it does. On a mid-price setup the gains over Reference are difficult to justify, and we would rather point you back down the range than sell you something your system cannot demonstrate.
