Furutech CF-C15 NCF(R) High End Slimline IEC Connector - Rhodium
The Furutech CF-C15 NCF(R) is a rewireable IEC C15 connector for building or re-terminating a mains power cable: it is the end that plugs into your component. Its slim body measures 22 x 30 x 82mm, so it fits where a full-size connector won't. Furutech designed it for crowded rear panels such as those on Linn, Mark Levinson and Devialet amplifiers and Micromega's M-One series, and for slim 4K and 8K TVs. The contacts are rhodium-plated Alpha pure copper, and the body uses Furutech's Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF), a damping material made to remove static and control vibration.
We also sell the Furutech FI-C15 NCF(R), which shares the slim C15 format, the rhodium-plated pure copper contacts and the 6.6mm to 16.0mm cable range. The difference is the housing. The FI-C15 NCF(R) has a nylon and glass fibre NCF body with a polycarbonate cable clamp. The CF-C15 NCF(R) wraps its NCF body in a multilayer housing of silver-plated 3k carbon fibre over non-magnetic stainless steel, with a stainless steel cable clamp and a silicone sleeve. Furutech say the housing improves frequency extension and tonal balance, and the steel clamp grips the cable more firmly and reduces mechanically and electrically induced distortion.
It takes cables from 6.6mm to 16.0mm in diameter with conductors up to 3.5 sq.mm (about 12 AWG), fixed with set screws, and its metal parts go through Furutech's two-stage Alpha cryogenic and demagnetising treatment. The connector carries KEMA-KEUR and UL certification. It is sold singly, and as with any mains plug, it should be fitted by someone competent to wire one.

A cryogenic and demagnetising treatment
The Alpha Process combines cryogenic treatment with demagnetisation, and Furutech applies it to its alpha-treated pure copper. It sits alongside Ohno Continuous Cast single-crystal copper in the conductor line-up, so the Furutech catalogue includes more than one route to a pure copper conductor.
Copper, silver and hybrid conductors
Furutech's materials include silver-plated copper and copper-silver hybrids as well as OCC and alpha-treated copper. DUCC and PC-Triple C copper appear in some of its cables. This range of conductors means the same plug design can be paired with different cable types.
NCF material and interference absorption
Furutech describes its NCF, short for Nano Crystal Formula, as generating negative ions and converting thermal energy into far infrared energy. Special Delivery UK - Guaranteed Next Working Day
We have 99.9% of the UK covered With Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. We guarantee delivery to most UK addresses by 1pm the next working day. This includes Northern Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey. Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
Please note, Royal Mail Special Delivery for next working day may not be possible where non-standard cable lengths are ordered. If this is the case, the item will be shipped via The Royal Mail Special Delivery service as soon as the cable is custom made.
For orders weighing over 2KG, we reserve the right to ship items using Next Day Pre-Noon Courier Services where Royal Mail Special Delivery option has been selected.
Channel Islands & Northern Ireland
We accept orders from all Channel Islands including Alderney, Jersey, Guernsey and Sark. Unless you select a premium service, Items weighing under 2KG are delivered using our standard UK delivery option above. For items weighing over 2KG, a surcharge may be applied for all deliveries to the Channel Islands as well as Northern Ireland.
European Countries
Deliveries to EU member states are not subject to 20% VAT after December 31st 2020 and therefore the 20% VAT on items is automatically deducted when you log-in, register or proceed to place an order.
The customer will be liable for the VAT at the local VAT rate, duty on the import and the brokerage service fee if applicable. This may need to be paid in advance to your local Customs & Excise office or the delivery company before your order can be delivered.
We offer the following shipping services:
- Royal Mail First Class International Airmail Services - Items are usually delivered within 3 to 5 working days
- Royal Mail Standard International Mail Services - Items are usually delivered within 7-10 working days
- DHL Express International - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. DHL orders must be received by 3:30pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Priority - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. FedEx orders must be received by 3.00pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Economy - Item are usually delivered within 48 to 72 hours
We reserve the right to change your shipping method without notification if you select a method that we cannot use for your shipment (for instance, we cannot ship via postal services for items over 2 Kg to International destinations). If we need to change your shipping method, we will choose the least expensive shipping method for your order.
