Furutech De-Stat III Static Charge Eliminator
Ultimate Performance • Ultimate Refinement • Ultimate Luxury
The new destat III is incredibly easy to use as it removes dust and static charge from audio/video media in just one 15 second treatment – now with 30% more zapping power. High performance enthusiasts know that static charges on analog and optical media -- LPs, CDs and DVDs – can lead to distracting noise and compromised sound. Simply place your media on the destat III or hold it over your media of choice and press one button! The powerful fan removes dust while the destat III’s Balanced Ion Flow Generator – releasing just the right balance of positive and negative ions – eliminates static.
Almost every system component benefits from eliminating its static charge. Use the destat III to remove static from the audio/video equipment itself – best to turn them off during treatment – plus power cords, line-level interconnects, speaker cables, and metal record clamps! Some household items may even benefit from static charge removal.
The destat III is small and efficient, powered by four AA batteries and is easily used with one hand. Each dust and static removal takes a mere 15 seconds. And there’s a safety circuit preventing shock from the Balanced Ion Flow Generator.
The destat III is third generation model of Furutech’s original and well received Destat - just one of Furutech’s many treatments for analog and digital playback systems.

About Furutech
Furutech, founded in 1988, designs and manufactures an extraordinary range of A/V cables made with extremely high purity OCC single-crystal oxygen-free copper. Furutech have several complete lines of analog and digital, power and coaxial cables available in terminated and bulk quantities. Furutech make a wide range of highest quality OEM A/V connectors and other signal transfer parts including power, speaker, IEC and specialized Hyper Audio Quality outlet receptacles. All metal components are treated with Furutech’s proprietary 2-Stage Alpha Cryogenic and Ring Demagnetization Process during manufacture that ensures the lowest achievable levels of distortion and noise.
Furutech offers a full line of elegantly engineered and designed power distribution and filter components made with an attention to detail found nowhere elsewhere. Furutech knows each and every part of the chain, no matter how small, is as important as the next, so they lavish maximum attention on all aspects of AC power transfer. As with cables, the separate parts go through the complete Alpha Process, and also benefit from the effects of GC-303, an applied material that absorbs EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). Furutech's Reference Line of cables and interconnects also include this anti-EMI technology.
Furutech's multistep and highly specialized techniques result in extremely low-noise, fast and undistorted signal transfer that begins with the incoming AC mains power, an important factor overlooked by many.
At Furutech, everyone there is passionately devoted to reaching the highest watermark in reference-grade A/V cables, OEM parts and accessories for home and car audio where Furutech maintain a very strong presence. Furutech's mission is building the absolutely best products imaginable whatever the effort involved, and offering them at a price/performance ratio that deeply satisfies every purchaser. Furutech’s Pure Transmission Design Concept improves every element of signal transmission, from the AC to the speaker.

A cryogenic and demagnetising treatment
The Alpha Process combines cryogenic treatment with demagnetisation, and Furutech applies it to its alpha-treated pure copper. It sits alongside Ohno Continuous Cast single-crystal copper in the conductor line-up, so the Furutech catalogue includes more than one route to a pure copper conductor.
Copper, silver and hybrid conductors
Furutech's materials include silver-plated copper and copper-silver hybrids as well as OCC and alpha-treated copper. DUCC and PC-Triple C copper appear in some of its cables. This range of conductors means the same plug design can be paired with different cable types.
NCF material and interference absorption
Furutech describes its NCF, short for Nano Crystal Formula, as generating negative ions and converting thermal energy into far infrared energy. It also uses a material called GC-303 to absorb electromagnetic interference. These are Furutech's own descriptions of what the materials are designed to do.
Why we stock Furutech
We do not just sell Furutech, we build with them. Their plugs and connectors go onto the custom cables we make in our own workshop, including cables for other brands in our range. When you fit a component by hand several times a week, you find out quickly whether it is well made.

Customers consistently praise this static eliminator for effectively reducing vinyl crackle and pops, with multiple reviewers noting it outperforms alternative methods like Zerostat guns. Users report versatile application across records, turntable mats, cables, and components. Build quality is described as excellent with longevity expected. All reviewers acknowledge the product's high price but emphasize its value justifies the cost for serious audiophiles. Delivery speed received positive mention. No significant negative themes emerged beyond consistent acknowledgment of the premium pricing.
Really minimises the static inherent in the vinyl medium, allowing me to listen without distraction.
I also use it on CDs before playing and sometimes on components before the start of a session. Highly effective, well built, and a really worthwhile investment.
I am delighted with Furutech's effectiveness! My turntable's potential is now revealed, static-free.
It is undoubtedly expensive, but its value makes up for it.
However, after the first week, I was fully converted. I have used it on a number of vinyl releases - audiophile and regular - and have seen a huge improvement in the lack of crackles and pops. The occasional zap of my Rega Planar 6 felt mat does wonders, too.
It's well worth the expense - if you can justify the cost.
I have also used it on cables, and hi-fi separates turntables, etc. [when powered off]. I have not used it on CDs as it is not a priority for me.
Expensive but indispensable for serious vinyl collectors. Highly recommended.
