Gold Note B-7 Ceramic Tonearm
The Gold Note B-7 Ceramic is the reference model of Gold Note's flagship B-7 tonearm platform, a 9 inch ball bearing design handmade in Italy and engineered to let a phono cartridge read deep into the groove, with any cartridge up to 15g. Gold Note positions the B-7 Ceramic as the reference performance of the platform, with the B-7 Ceramic X above it as the ultimate refinement of the same design. A 242mm effective length, 19mm overhang, 24 degree offset and 23mm mounting shaft make the B-7 Ceramic a practical choice for upgrading a quality deck as well as for a new high-end build, and set-up is kept deliberately simple.
The heart of the B-7 Ceramic is its bearing system. Four high-precision ceramic ball bearings are made in Germany by GRW exclusively for Gold Note, each one tested and individually sealed to preserve its precision. The vertical bearings pivot on manually adjusted stainless steel bolts, while horizontal movement runs on two micro bearings set directly into the rectified main pivot. Low friction and freedom from bearing noise are what allow the arm to track quietly, so the finest nuances in a recording come through rather than being masked. The rear of the arm wand is damped with a silicone spacer to reduce unwanted vibration, and the head-shell and pivot are machined from black anodised aluminium.
The rest of the B-7 Ceramic follows the B-7 platform shared with the B-7 Ceramic X. The arm wand is titanium, a 12mm rectified tube built from six sections of differing thickness, and a finely machined stainless steel counterweight balances a wide range of cartridges, with additional weights available for higher-mass designs. VTA is adjustable on the collar and azimuth on the head-shell, anti-skating is set by wire across five positions, and a hydraulic lift lowers the stylus gently into the groove. The B-7 Ceramic weighs 195g without its counterweight and has a dynamic effective mass of 10g. Internal wiring is AWG36 Hyper Litz shielded 99.9999% OFC, and the box includes a 1.5m custom four-pole DIN to RCA phono cable, 110g and 28.5g counterweights, a protractor with overhang gauge and stroboscope, a GN stylus gauge and three Allen keys, so the arm can be set up and aligned straight away.

About Gold Note
Italian maker of turntables, cartridges, phono stages and amplifiers, built near Florence in Tuscany.
Gold Note is an Italian company near Florence, with a factory in Montespertoli, Tuscany. It makes turntables, cartridges, phono stages, streaming DACs, amplifiers, headphone amplifiers, power supplies, CD players and loudspeakers. Its own B-5 tonearm is fitted to its turntables, so the arm and the deck come from one designer.

Turntables and cartridges from one maker
The turntables include the Mediterraneo, Giglio, Pianosa and Valore, and the cartridges include the Tuscany, Machiavelli, Donatello and Vasari. The B-5 tonearm design dates from 1992 and has changed little since. Both lists come from one maker, so a deck and a cartridge can be chosen together.
Electronics with a plain, clean layout
Gold Note builds integrated amplifiers such as the IS-10 and IS-1000, the DS-10 EVO streamer, power amplifiers and phono stages. Its stated approach is clean circuitry, solid power supplies and a minimal look, and its factory makes its own cases and circuit boards.
Phono stages for different cartridges
The PH-5.2 phono stage is an update of the PH-5, with a black anodised aluminium chassis, an upgraded power supply and a revised display layout. Phono stages sit alongside the turntables and cartridges, so a complete vinyl front end can come from one brand.

In June 2024 two of us visited Gold Note's factory in Tuscany with their UK distributor, met the founder, and spent time in the R&D labs. Seeing where the components are chosen and why changed how we thought about the brand. We came back and listed the entire range, which we rarely do.

European Countries

- Free Delivery on orders over £99 utilises Royal Mail First Class postal service for items weighing under 2KG. For items weighing over 2KG, we use DPD or DHL next working day services which deliver from 9.00am to 6pm within mainland UK (excludes Royal Mail Special Delivery Services and timed next day delivery services by DPD or DHL).
- Applies only to deliveries to addresses within mainland UK and Northern Ireland addresses. Applies only to orders that are to be delivered to a single Mainland UK delivery address.
- You will not be eligible for free delivery on your order if any items are cancelled or returned for a refund, bringing the total order amount below £99. Where items are returned, the refund due will be the cost of the item less any postage costs.
- We reserve the right to change or discontinue 'Free delivery on orders over £99 promotion at any time.

Special Delivery UK - Guaranteed Next Working Day
We have 99.9% of the UK covered With Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. We guarantee delivery to most UK addresses by 1pm the next working day. This includes Northern Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey. Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
Please note, Royal Mail Special Delivery for next working day may not be possible where non-standard cable lengths are ordered. If this is the case, the item will be shipped via The Royal Mail Special Delivery service as soon as the cable is custom made.
For orders weighing over 2KG, we reserve the right to ship items using Next Day Pre-Noon Courier Services where Royal Mail Special Delivery option has been selected.
Channel Islands & Northern Ireland
We accept orders from all Channel Islands including Alderney, Jersey, Guernsey and Sark. Unless you select a premium service, Items weighing under 2KG are delivered using our standard UK delivery option above. For items weighing over 2KG, a surcharge may be applied for all deliveries to the Channel Islands as well as Northern Ireland.
European Countries
Deliveries to EU member states are not subject to 20% VAT after December 31st 2020 and therefore the 20% VAT on items is automatically deducted when you log-in, register or proceed to place an order.
The customer will be liable for the VAT at the local VAT rate, duty on the import and the brokerage service fee if applicable. This may need to be paid in advance to your local Customs & Excise office or the delivery company before your order can be delivered.
We offer the following shipping services:
- Royal Mail First Class International Airmail Services - Items are usually delivered within 3 to 5 working days
- Royal Mail Standard International Mail Services - Items are usually delivered within 7-10 working days
- DHL Express International - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. DHL orders must be received by 3:30pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Priority - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. FedEx orders must be received by 3.00pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Economy - Item are usually delivered within 48 to 72 hours
We reserve the right to change your shipping method without notification if you select a method that we cannot use for your shipment (for instance, we cannot ship via postal services for items over 2 Kg to International destinations). If we need to change your shipping method, we will choose the least expensive shipping method for your order.
