iFi Audio iPower Elite DC Power Supply
Expensive equipment typically ships with generic power supplies. This is like putting supermarket fuel in a Ferrari. It deserves the best but isn’t getting it.
The generic SMPS power supply (PS) is very noisy. Many upgraded audiophile linear PS are better, but still have huge noise at the rectification frequencies and at multiples 50Hz, 100Hz, 150Hz (or 60, 120, 180 for 60Hz countries) etc.
The iPower Elite was designed to deliver smooth and silent power. It gives your streamer/DAC/amplifier all the silent, clean power of a battery with none of the hassles.
Features
- Active Noise Cancellation II Audiophile transformer specially developed for the Elite
- Large aluminium conductive polymer capacitors
- Enlarged input/output capacitance
- 30% extra headroom for instant power delivery for exceptional transients
- Noise-free adaptive multi-mode controller
- Aircraft-grade 6063 aluminum in dark bronze for long-life/excellent head dissipation
- Whisper-quiet noise floor of <1μV
- Extra-large OFHC copper power cable for high power delivery with low loss
Active Noise Cancellation II
Based on military tech, iFi's improved Active Noise Cancellation II® actively cancels all incoming noise.
It does this in a similar way to active noise-cancelling headphones – it generates a signal identical to that of the incoming electrical noise but in the opposite phase, actively cancelling it out. This is highly effective at removing low- and mid-frequency noise, while passive insulating filters deal with higher frequency interference. This combination is measurably more effective at eradicating noise corrupting the USB signal than devices relying solely on passive filtering.

Cables and adapters complete the catalogue

Why we stock iFi
iFi solve specific problems rather than selling you a whole system. Noise on a USB feed, a laptop that cannot drive your headphones properly, hum from a ground loop. Each unit does one job well at a price that does not require a long think, which is why they turn up in so many systems.

Customers consistently praise this power supply for robust build quality, excellent value relative to premium alternatives, and reliable service from the retailer. The product delivers measurable audio improvements across diverse applications—DACs, routers, turntables, and network devices—with users reporting reduced noise, enhanced soundstage, tighter bass, and improved dynamics. Multiple reviewers repurchased the unit for additional components, indicating strong satisfaction. Design features including sturdy construction, slow LED fade-off suggesting quality capacitors, and compatibility with various connectors are noted positively. Some users recommend pairing with upgraded mains cables for optimal results. No recurring negative themes were identified in the reviews.
The power supply is reassuringly robust in design with a lovely look and feel to it; it obviously has capacitors inside as the LED light extinguishes slowly when the power is turned off. I plug the iFi power supply into an Isotek power bar and have replaced the supplied power lead with an upgraded one from Futureshop, which includes a higher-rated fuse. I would definitely recommend this product based on quality and price.
As always, flawless service from Futureshop!
Will be adding a second Elite to go with a future iFi DAC purchase - the NEO.
Thanks to Future Shop for the secure packing and shipping. The parcel was delivered to the other side of the globe in less than a week.
The audiophile mains extension (without filter) was upgraded to a better one. I plugged in a main filter to the extension, and I introduced audiophile power supplies for both the modem and router.
The iFi iPower Elite DC Power Supply is for my router.
The Sky Stream TV picture quality is now even better, with more definition, lovely deep colours, and a much more 3-dimensional appearance. The sound quality is better, too, being more dynamic and closer to Blu-ray quality. This was especially noticed in a Netflix film 5.1.
Yes, the overall solution cost a bit of money, but I wouldn't want to go back.
