Kordz PRO4 48Gbps Active Optical HDMI Cable
The Kordz PRO4 is an active optical HDMI cable built for professional AV installations where long cable runs and uncompromised signal quality are both non-negotiable. Using optical fibre for its primary data conductors, the cable supports the full 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 data rate across distances ranging from 7.5m up to 100m, making it suitable for everything from boardrooms and lecture theatres to large-scale commercial installations. Unlike copper-based alternatives that struggle beyond short distances, the PRO4 maintains full uncompressed 8K and 10K video performance throughout its entire length range, with no external power supply needed at either end.
The optical light engine is housed directly within the connector shell, keeping the installation clean and straightforward. The cable itself measures 4.7mm in diameter and carries a 20kg pull-force rating, giving it the physical robustness needed for in-wall routing, conduit runs, and other demanding installation environments. The jacket is fire-rated to UL CMG standards, adding an important layer of compliance for commercial and semi-commercial builds. Gold-plated solid OFC connector pins and a premium folded steel shell ensure reliable contact and long-term connection integrity at both ends.
Every PRO4 cable is individually tested and DPL Labs certified to confirm genuine 48Gbps performance rather than relying on specification claims alone. This level of verification is particularly valuable in professional installations where substituting cables or troubleshooting signal issues after completion is costly. Backed by a two-year warranty and produced by Kordz, an HDMI Adopter program member since 2005, the PRO4 AOC is a dependable and well-specified choice for integrators who need long-distance HDMI performance they can rely on.
