Nordost SORT FUT - Premium Package
The Sort Füt is a mechanically tuned resonance control device. It is purpose-built to enhance the performance of your hi-fi system and improve upon the standard spikes and stabilizers that are provided with loudspeakers and racks. Energy is an unavoidable byproduct whenever components are in use, creating vibrations which can greatly affect the sound produced. The Sort Füt’s proprietary four-part construction eliminates these unwanted vibrations by providing a direct ground path, allowing extraneous energy to escape from electronics. The result a reduction in intermodulation distortion, a proliferation of musical information, and an increase of tonal and textural details that will allow your system to achieve the dynamic range. While individual units of the Sort Füt are available for purchase, the Premium Package includes all of the tools and instrument instructions necessary to get any system sorted with ease and, more importantly, precision.
Specification:
- Nordost SORT FUT - Premium Package
- 4 Sort Füt units
- Adjustment tool to customize your Sort system to your components
- Laser leveling system for precise installation
- 8mm, 6mm, and 1/4-20 threaded adapters
About Nordost Cables
Founded in 1991, Nordost Corporation is a high-technology cable manufacturer specializing in the audio and medical fields, using precision conductor solutions first developed for the aerospace industry and in conjunction with NASA for the space shuttle program. This grounding in the mission critical fields of space flight and micro-surgery have afforded the company an enviable research budget and an unprecedented degree of manufacturing accuracy and consistency. Nordost also adopted a unique approach to sales, openly demonstrating the performance of their products against the competition. This confidence was well placed and the strategy proved a sure-fire winner, the legendary Nordost cable demos remaining high on the must-hear list for audiophiles attending hi-fi shows around the world.
About Nordost Cables
American cable maker known for mono-filament wrapped conductors and flat speaker cable geometry.
Nordost designs, engineers, manufactures and assembles its cables in the USA. Its cables use FEP insulation with an air dielectric and a patented Micro or Dual Mono-Filament wrap process, and its speaker cables use a flat design. The catalogue runs from interconnects and speaker cables to power, USB and Ethernet cables.

Air is part of the insulation
The Mono-Filament wrap is the method that lets Nordost support the conductor inside FEP insulation so that air, rather than solid plastic, surrounds it. Air is an excellent dielectric, which is why the construction matters for how the cable handles the signal.
Flat cables and tuned lengths
Nordost speaker cables use a flat design, and its cables come in mechanically tuned lengths. HOLO:PLUG connectors and Total Signal Control shielding complete the set of technologies the company describes on its own site. Bi-wire jumpers, tonearm cables and subwoofer cables are part of the catalogue too.
More than cables
Alongside cables, Nordost makes QRT audio enhancers and SORT resonance control products, which deal with vibration rather than signal transmission. The cable lines run LEIF, NORSE, Reference/Valhalla and Supreme Reference/Odin, in the order Nordost lists them, so you can build your system at several price levels from a single maker.
Why we stock Nordost
Nordost sit at the top of what we sell, and they are also the reason we can burn in cables ourselves. We run Nordost Vidar machines in our workshop, so every eligible cable leaves us already conditioned on their equipment. Very few retailers can say that, and it is why the service is free on your order.
