Pro-Ject VC-S3 Premium record cleaning machine
The Pro-Ject VC-S3 is a premium record cleaning machine built to do the job that a dry brush cannot. Brushing a record before play removes loose surface dust, but the contamination that actually degrades playback sits down inside the groove, and reaching it requires wet cleaning followed by proper extraction. The VC-S3 applies cleaning fluid to a spinning record, works it into the groove with the supplied brush, then draws the fluid and the dirt suspended in it back out through a vacuum arm, leaving the surface clean and dry. Pro-Ject rate it as powerful enough to clean a record completely in one to two revolutions, with the platter turning at 30rpm.
Fluid choice matters as much as the machine, and the VC-S3 is supplied with 100ml of Pro-Ject's Wash it 2. This is a deliberately non-alcoholic, eco-friendly formulation, because alcohol-based fluids can strip away the musical micro-detail held in the groove walls. Wash it 2 also arrives pre-mixed rather than as a concentrate, which removes the risk of diluting it with unsuitable tap water and gives consistent cleaning performance every time. Alongside the cleaning itself, the process removes static charge from the record, so the surface attracts less airborne dust once it goes back into its sleeve.
Build quality is a clear focus in this generation. The cabinet uses 5mm aluminium composite panels, the improved vacuum motor is mounted on aluminium pads and given a cataphoretic surface treatment for durability, and a self-adhesive arm strip is included for the vacuum arm. A magnetic clamp seals the record label against fluid ingress and speeds up the whole cycle, and a large internal container holds 2.5 litres of waste fluid so a full cleaning session can be completed without stopping to empty it. The machine handles 12 inch records as standard, with a 7 inch cleaning kit available separately, and is made in Europe.
What Pro-Ject say about the VC-S3
Vinyl records need a specific maintenance. The dry brush cleaning before playing the record is good to roughly remove dust. To effectively clean the grooves you need to wet clean the record. To achieve the perfect cleaning we also need a suitable cleaning fluid. Alcoholic cleaning fluids can destroy musical micro information of the grooves. That's the reason why we designed our new eco-friendly non-alcoholic cleaning fluid called „Wash it 2". Our new Wash it 2 is a pre-mixed liquid, so you don't have to dilute the concentrate yourself anymore.

Turntables are the core of the range
Pro-Ject's turntables are built in a former Tesla factory at Litovel in the Czech Republic. The company uses the original machinery and says it can supply parts for decks made over a long period. A nearby CNC facility makes parts for the range.
Production is spread across Europe

- DHL Express International - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. DHL orders must be received by 3:30pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Priority - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. FedEx orders must be received by 3.00pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Economy - Item are usually delivered within 48 to 72 hours
We reserve the right to change your shipping method without notification if you select a method that we cannot use for your shipment (for instance, we cannot ship via postal services for items over 2 Kg to International destinations). If we need to change your shipping method, we will choose the least expensive shipping method for your order.
Worldwide - Excluding UK & Europe
Deliveries outside of the UK are not subject to 20% VAT and so the 20% tax on items is automatically deducted when you log-in, register or proceed to place an order.
If applicable, the customer will be liable for the taxes at the local tax rate, duty on the import and the brokerage service fee. This may need to be paid in advance to your local Customs & Excise office or the delivery company before your order can be delivered.

- Federal Express International Priority - Items are usually delivered within 48 hours. FedEx orders must be received by 3.00pm in order to ship items the same day, subject to stock availability
- Where the actual weight of the package significantly exceeds the shipping cost charged on orders, we may write to you for an additional shipping charge. For larger orders, items may be shipped in multiple packets at our discretion
