QED PERFORMANCE 3.5MM J2J Cable
The QED Performance J2J connects any 3.5mm stereo output to any 3.5mm stereo input. Its main purpose is to bring music from a phone, tablet or laptop into a proper hi-fi, through an amplifier's aux input or a powered speaker. Many such cables are thin, unscreened leads, and they pass on every bit of hum and interference they pick up. The J2J is built like a hi-fi interconnect instead.
Each channel runs on its own individually screened conductor of 99.999% oxygen-free copper, so the left and right signals are kept apart rather than sharing one bundle. The return path, the half of the circuit that cheap jack cables most often skimp on, has six times the copper cross-section of a signal conductor. QED's aim with that is to keep crosstalk between channels to a minimum and stereo separation high. A dual-layer outer shield braid protects both channels from external electrical interference, and a foamed polyethylene dielectric keeps capacitance low.
The practical details are well thought out. The cable has an ultra-flexible TPE jacket, which makes it easy to coil and route and reduces microphonic handling noise when the cable is moved, which a portable source tends to be. The gold-plated 3.5mm plugs have a stepped profile, slimmer at the tip than at the body, so they reach fully into the socket of a phone in a case. Ordinary chunky plugs often stop short and make an intermittent connection.
The J2J is available in 1.5m and 3.0m lengths.

We use Royal Mail 1st Class services for our Standard Delivery.
Orders received before 4.30 pm Monday to Friday are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. This does not apply to custom-length cables and speaker cables as these require a longer timescale to terminate. This also excludes all cables selected for the burn-in service. Please note, we do not process orders on national holidays in the UK. Over 98% of our orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays.

All items are fully insured and come with an invoice from Future Shop. We use the Royal Mail for delivery of small packages and DPD Local or DHL for items that weigh over 2KG. Items over 2KG are fully insured and will usually be delivered within 48 hours of placing your order subject to stock availability. For international orders, we use FedEx or DHL services where customers have selected this option.
