QED's SCREWLOC Banana Plugs are 24k Gold Plated, which means they do not oxidise like copper plugs. The Forte blade locking mechanism ensures a snug fit, maximising the contact area and securing a uniform connection.
What QED say
The SCREWLOC forte 4mm Banana Plug is the ideal finishing connection to ensure you get the best from your speaker cable. Designed for use where speed and convenience are the paramount concern, these connectors make the most of the Screwloc style termination providing a twin conductor clamp to suit cable diameters up to 3.25mm.
The new Forte plugs are 24k Gold Plated which has a resistivity almost as low as copper but more importantly does not oxidise in air. The new Forte plug section is designed to maximise contact area throughout the wide tolerance range encountered in 4mm amplifier and speaker sockets. Some can be quite tight whereas others may be loose, so the spring loaded Forte blade is designed to fit into smaller and larger sockets with equal insertion force. This means that the contact area is maximised and the connection remains uniformly tight.
The plugs themselves are made of brass which has roughly twice the resistivity of copper. For this reason the 4mm banana plug was devised so that its cross-sectional area would be at least double that of the cable to which it was connected effectively cancelling out the extra resistance of the plug material. QED then plates the connector with high purity gold which has a resistivity almost as low as copper but more importantly does not oxidise in air.

We use Royal Mail 1st Class services for our Standard Delivery.
Orders received before 4.30 pm Monday to Friday are usually dispatched the same day by FIRST CLASS post (unless premium postal or timed courier services are selected), subject to stock availability. This does not apply to custom-length cables and speaker cables as these require a longer timescale to terminate. This also excludes all cables selected for the burn-in service. Please note, we do not process orders on national holidays in the UK. Over 98% of our orders are delivered the next working day including Saturdays.

All items are fully insured and come with an invoice from Future Shop. We use the Royal Mail for delivery of small packages and DPD Local or DHL for items that weigh over 2KG. Items over 2KG are fully insured and will usually be delivered within 48 hours of placing your order subject to stock availability. For international orders, we use FedEx or DHL services where customers have selected this option.

My fat speaker cables fitted OK, screwing the plug screws tight took a couple of goes . Very pleased I got these.

Wonderful service from Futureshop especially with the product coming to New Zealand.
Oh for the good old days when QED was made in the UK. The only similarity to the UK made is the price. Futureshop should specify the country of manufacture on all its products?
Bought the banana plugs for the amp and the spade plugs for the speakers. Both easy to fit and the whole set-up sounds great.
Futureshop had the best price I could find and delivered them to France. Excellent.
