Tellurium Q have designed and built this new RCA cable to match the performance of the Statement speaker cable. By re-thinking the way they approached the RCA, in terms of its micro-geometry, production process and isolation, these interconnects now have the same performance profile as the speaker cable.

As with all Tellurium Q's cable series developments, the speaker cable is the one developed first. The capability of their earlier range of cables - Silver Diamond - were a surprise to everyone even Tellurium Q. Improving on the Silver Diamond success would be no small task. Tellurium Q undertook this task by starting again from the ground up, looking at each step in more minute detail and tweaking each and every iteration to optimise performance, and optimise they did. The Statement speaker cable not only surpassed the Silver Diamond, but did so spectacularly, once again blowing everyone's expectations clean out of the water.

Improving the MkII range on from the original Statement cables is a feat in itself. For just the speaker cable, there is a minimum of eight layers for possible development, including multiple dielectrics and conductor types. A single dielectric, on just one layer, took a year for Tellurium Q to perfect and needed multiple materials from various countries and went through numerous tests before the final version was signed off. This level of commitment to research and development is why Tellurium Q cables consistently win awards.

Tellurium Q® are often asked: what do they do that makes their cables perform so well? The simple and unsatisfying answer is that they do a lot of little things together that amount to be crucial in preserving the relative phase of a signal. People assume that to get the best performance, the “fastest” conductor – pure silver, or something even better- has to be used. That is also one of the reasons for the pointless chasing of nines, as I call it, i.e. copper to 99.9999999% purity- as if that is the single most important factor for a cable!

Surprisingly, to get a more “natural” sound, it is not just about merely conduction. This is the reason, any conductor from any cable manufacturer on this planet will act as an electronic filter and by that I mean that the various frequencies relative to one another get shifted with each material they pass through and are also affected by insulators, geometries, shielding etc.. The interesting thing is that materials affect ranges of frequencies in dissimilar amounts. It really is a finely tuned balancing act.
