Tellurium Q Statement XLR Interconnect Pair 1.5m
The Statement is Tellurium Q’s revolutionary new range of outstanding XLR Interconnect designed to take performance of your system to new heights. Made from the finest materials and cutting edge manufacturing techniques, we believe the Tellurium Q Statement can deliver the most natural and complete sound possible.
When considering interconnects, in a fully balanced system, a good XLR audibly outperforms a good RCA. We will simply say that this is the best XLR that we have ever produced and you will hear why. All the superlatives applied to the Statement cables apply to these XLRs, and then some!
What you have with the new Statements is a reviewer’s nightmare: how to describe them without repeating words that will be mistaken for something you have heard before?
- More analogue, yes, but oh so more.
- More detail, absolutely, but not in the way you would think.
- More universal and compatible with systems- well there were only one or two systems that did not shine with the Silver Diamonds, but now…
- More richness, yes, but a warmth and richness that is completely unveiled.
- More “real”, people have used the word “tangible”, when listening to systems with the Statements.
Tellurium Q® is often asked: what do they do that makes their cables perform so well? The simple and unsatisfying answer is that they do a lot of little things together that amount to be crucial in preserving the relative phase of a signal. People assume that to get the best performance, the “fastest” conductor – pure silver, or something even better- has to be used. That is also one of the reasons for the pointless chasing of nines, as I call it, i.e. copper to 99.9999999% purity- as if that is the single most important factor for a cable!
Surprisingly, to get the most natural sound, it is merely about conduction. The reason being that any conductor, from any cable manufacturer on this planet, will act as an electronic filter- and that means that the various frequencies relative to one another get shifted with each material they pass through and are also affected by insulators, geometries, shielding etc. The interesting thing is that different materials affect ranges of frequencies in dissimilar amounts. It really is a finely tuned balancing act to make sure that you get a natural, transparent transmission. This takes a LOT more research than people would imagine, even down to the solder that Tellurium Q use. This is not standard, by any means, for the audio industry and Tellurium Q have tried numerous mixes and diverse percentages of silver in the solder, but at the end of their testing and development they find they have a solder with no silver whatsoever (no lead either).
Even the process by which Tellurium Q solder and the temperature/time, “envelope” to complete the process is tightly controlled and specified, and it is not the same for every cable either!
The connectors may look relatively ordinary but have multiple layers of plating, and not always the material you would expect. There are further details worth attention and precision within the plating process itself, because Tellurium Q specify the thickness of the plating and what has to be in the plating bath, and what should not be.
These are just a couple of tiny details that make up one small part of one cable. The detail, precision and care is the same for the rest of the products. Each little step needs a controlled listening and testing against other options which is immensely time consuming but hopefully the results speak for themselves.
From what Tellurium Q have learnt, they have been able to bring you the Statement cables. They are the Tellurium Q® Statement of the upper limit of performance that they think is currently possible.
Tellurium Q hope that you enjoy your system more with your Statement cables.

"Tellurium Q Statements are no usual cable affair and if I've called the Silver Diamonds an Emotional Tour de Force what are then the Tellurium Q Statements!? Well, they certainly transcend any typical labeling and this time I'm elevating them on the throne, that they clearly deserve. "These are probably some of the most expensive cables we've used, though nowhere near as pricey as some. The calbe thing is always a dilemma, and nearlyu always a subect of heated debate. However, if you've taken your sysatem as far as it can go, in terms of setup, optimization, room, and power, we suggest trying the Tellurium Q Statement series of cables. The results will amaze you. And they offer power cords too!" Tone Audio - Tone Publisher's Choice Award 2018 |

"In testing Statement, I have to say that I was impressed. One of Tellurium Q’s favourite topics is phase coherence, something that you should be able to achieve if you can get all frequencies to travel through the conductors at the same speed. If this is the source of the excellent timing and coherence that these cables deliver then they appear to have succeeded." (Read More) Equipment Review - Hi-Fi+ - December 2018 |

“…you will also appreciate its dynamics. It is a rich, internally high-quality sound that requires familiarity with live music and high quality systems. Silver Diamond is a great cable, but Statement is much better in every respect. Together, however, they give something more, which will appeal to any kind of music, They give fullness, energy and richness of emotions. “ Wojciech Pacuta - HiFidelity.Pl |

About Tellurium Q
Tellurium Q cables offer a unique approach to cable performance, focusing on minimising phase distortion, a common problem inherent in all cables. The Tellurium Q team understands that all signal path materials act as electronic filters, impacting the naturalness of vocals and overall audio quality.
Instead of ignoring this issue, Tellurium Q embraces it and engineers cables that provide a clear path for the signal, aiming for the most natural sound possible with current technology. Their construction involves multiple stranded conductors of varying materials, dielectric materials, and geometries. Every detail, from solder mixes to plating thicknesses, is carefully considered.
Tellurium Q has developed three distinct families of sound to cater to different customer preferences: the Tellurium Q Silver range offers silver-like characteristics without harshness, the Tellurium Q Black range (including the Tellurium Q Black Diamond) provides transparent and lifelike reproduction, and the Tellurium Q Blue range adds a slight warmth to balance brighter systems. Each range is designed to enhance the audio experience uniquely. They strive to offer a clear, transparent, and natural listening experience and invite customers to hear the exceptional results of their work for themselves.
Having entered the Hi-Fi scene in 2010, Tellurium Q has won several coveted awards and global recognition. With their extensive range of top-tier cables available in 37 countries, they've accumulated 154 exceptional reviews and 14 'Products of the Year' awards from international Hi-Fi magazines. They have twice received the 'Queen's Award for Enterprise' in recognition of their remarkable export growth. Tellurium Q's uncompromising commitment to excellence ensures its products are not just good or average but exceptional, offering customers the best available in its price range.
About Tellurium Q Cables
Somerset cable maker focused on phase distortion, with Silver, Black and Blue families tuned to different system balances.
Tellurium Q builds its cables in Somerset around one problem: phase distortion. Its designers start from the view that every material in the signal path acts as a filter, and they combine multiple stranded conductors, different dielectric materials and different geometries to reduce the effect. Even solder mixes and plating thicknesses are chosen with the same aim.

Three families, three balances
The Silver range is designed to give silver-like character without harshness. The Black range, which includes Black Diamond, aims for a transparent and lifelike presentation. The Blue range adds a little warmth to balance a bright system. You can pick the family that matches your system before choosing a level.
Several levels within each family
Each family has three levels: the standard models (Silver III, Black II and Blue II), the Ultra II models and the Diamond models, with a Statement line alongside them. You can choose a family for its balance first, then decide which level suits your system and budget.
Every connection from one designer
Tellurium Q makes speaker cables, interconnects, power cables and jumpers or links across its families. Because all of them come from one design approach, you can carry the same thinking from source to speaker, using a family chosen for its balance for every cable in the chain.
Why we stock Tellurium Q
Tellurium Q are the brand customers tell us about unprompted. Black is the range that sells and the one people return to buy more of, usually after hearing what a single interconnect did. Fourteen years of selling them and the feedback has not shifted, which is rarer than it sounds.
New cables (even high-quality ones) benefit from a period of signal conditioning before reaching their optimum performance. The dielectric (insulation) around the conductors needs time to stabilise under the electromagnetic field created by signal flow. Rather than leaving this to you, we run cables on our Nordost Vidar burn-in machine before dispatch, up to the equivalent of 200 hours of use, in a fraction of the time. Your cable arrives performance-ready from the first listen.

Frequently Asked Questions
Enhance Your Experience: Free Cable Burn-In Service with Nordost VIDAR Machine
Please take note of the following details regarding our cable burn-in service:
- Cable Compatibility: We regret to inform you that we cannot burn-in cables with stripped bare ends or BFA plugs. In order for cables to undergo the burn-in process, they should be terminated or have connectors.
- Timing: Cables will be burnt in for the selected period after processing your order. For custom-length cables, the burn-in process will occur after they have been terminated by the manufacturer or our engineers unless specified otherwise in the product description.
- Availability: Future Shop provides our cable burn-in service free of charge, but its availability is at our discretion. While we strive to fulfil all burn-in requests for the specified time periods, please understand that during exceptionally busy periods, we may be unable to meet the demand due to limited connections on the Nordost Vidar cable conditioning machines.
The Nordost VIDAR cable burn-in machine integrates three key functions into one operation:
- Charge Neutralisation: It eliminates charges that accumulate around the cables and their insulation, ensuring a more balanced electrical environment.
- Deep Conditioning: The machine provides a wide band and deep conditioning process that affects the conductor core, resulting in changes to the signal transmission through the metal. This deep conditioning enhances the cable's performance.
- Ultrasonic Surface Conditioning: The VIDAR machine utilizes ultrasonic waves to condition the surface of the conductors, optimizing their contact and overall conductivity.
The VIDAR employs a proprietary combination of composite and complex signals to condition the cables. These signals comprise ultra-low and ultra-high frequencies, extending beyond the range of video frequencies. The signal moves back and forth along the cable, penetrating deep into the core with ultra-low frequencies and traversing the surface with ultra-high frequencies. This transmission method generates beat harmonics between the two complex waveforms, which permeate all layers of the cable. The circuitry of the VIDAR also drives electrons from the conductor into the insulation area, neutralizing electrical charges.
So, what does this all mean for you?
The ultimate outcome of conditioning cables with the Nordost VIDAR is improved sound staging, increased detail, and an overall more musical presentation in your audio system.
Now, you may wonder why cable burn-in is necessary. During cable manufacturing, gasses become trapped as insulation is applied over the conductors. Additionally, new cables often possess high electrical charges, resulting in a brittle and bright sound that lacks the desired detail and depth for music production.
When cables undergo burn-in, the trapped gasses are dissipated, and small impurities in the conductor metals begin to exhibit diode-like behaviour, favouring current flow in a specific direction.
Here are the physical effects of the burn-in process:
- Charge Neutralisation: The burn-in process neutralizes charges in the conductors and insulation, promoting a more balanced electrical environment.
- Wide Bandwidth Frequencies: The conditioning affects how signals pass through the metal, enabling a wider range of frequencies to penetrate all cable layers.
- Signal Transmission: The burn-in process establishes the directionality of the cable, optimizing signal transmission from one end to the other.
When cables are properly burnt in, you can expect the following audible changes in your audio system:
- Fuller and Natural Sound: Your system should be capable of producing a more immersive and realistic performance with a fuller and more natural sound.
- Increased Detail: You may notice enhanced details and nuances in the music, allowing you to perceive subtle elements that were previously hidden.
- Improved Soundstage: The dimensionality of your system's soundstage can be greatly improved, creating a more spacious and immersive listening experience.
At Future Shop, our goal is to maximise your satisfaction. That's why we offer a free burn-in service on all our cables before they arrive at your door, enabling you to sit back and enjoy the benefits of properly conditioned cables in your audio system.
