Atlas Element Achromatic BNC Digital Audio Cable
The Element Achromatic Digital Audio cable is constructed with a continuous path for the signal virtually free of the discontinuities that can degrade the music signal in subtle but audible ways.
The Element Achromatic Digital Audio is designed to match the consumer digital audio specification by maintaining a true 75 Ohm impedance, ensuring error-free transmission of digital data signals. Many cables actually fail to meet the 75 Ohm standard due to flaws in the way the cable itself is manufactured and assembled. Atlas' cold-weld solder-free connectors avoid the continuity breaks and compression of the cable’s shielding screen which cause impedance problems and lead to compromised jitter performance.
The central conductor is multi-stranded OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) copper, insulated by an extremely low-loss foamed polyethylene dielectric, the resulting sound being clear and dynamic with minimal jitter-induced noise. The Element Achromatic Dgiital Audio makes an ideal entry level digital cable between CD transport or streamer and DAC – if your equipment has BNC socketry, this will normally offer superior performance to RCA connectors.

Atlas BNC Connectors
The Atlas BNC connector is designed to maintain a true impedance of 75 Ohms from source to destination.
Achromatic Plugs
Atlas’s expert electro-mechanical knowledge has led to the innovation of the next generation of RCA plugs. Known as the ‘Atlas Achromatic RCA plug’, Atlas has focused on improving both performance and appearance to create a higher performance starting point for their RCA cables as well as eliminating variability in performance. This has been achieved by refocusing on materials and the assembly processes.
Atlas has made 4 key changes with the Achromatic RCA plug. Firstly, the barrel of the Achromatic plug features a high stability ABS material. This is strong, stable and of superlative surface quality.
There is also an improvement to the Achromatic plug’s contact geometry, aiding the contact properties of the plug and the self-cleaning wiping action to ensure contacts are in optimal condition and to maximise signal transmission.
The third change Atlas made was around the rifling of the RCA pin. This improvement self-aligns the conductors during the cold weld processing, ensuring a superior stable connection.
Finally, there is a reduction in the overall mass of the RCA plug by 8% which has shown to improve signal transmission.
The above changes mean a solder-free, low mass, self-cleaning, recyclable RCA plug with a non-conductive body.
Oxygen Free Copper (OFC)
OFC is produced through an extrusion process which takes place in an oxygen-free-inert-gas atmosphere. This leads to a reduced oxygen content (10 ppm) when compared to Tough Pitch Copper (TPC) and an improvement in conductivity which typically measures in at between 0.5% and 2% greater than TPC. The OFC process therefore produces a much higher quality audio cable than the TPC process. High purity conductors sound clearer than their unprocessed (TPC) counterparts because there are fewer crystal boundaries present to cause signal degradation.

PEF Dielectric
PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) is cheap to produce and, as such, is the most commonly used insulation in AV cables. However, PVC is the worst quality insulation a Hi-Fi or AV signal can encounter as its high loss causes a significant reduction in signal velocity. PVC is better suited to power cables and should be avoided in Hi-Fi and AV signal cables. Other dielectrics in common use are Polyethylene, Polypropylene and Polytetrafluoride Epoxy (better known as PTFE (Teflon™) or Teflon,) and the new and unique Atlas (PTFE). PEF (Foamed Polyethylene). The foaming process uses a blowing agent, of which there are two types. Atlas use the gas-foamed method which creates a more inert, consistent and higher quality product. The table below shows the properties of a selection of dielectrics. Though not used as a dielectric in Atlas' cables, PVC is included for comparison purposes.

We offer the following shipping services:
- Royal Mail First Class International Airmail Services - Items are usually delivered within 3 to 5 working days.
- Royal Mail Standard International Mail Services - Items are usually delivered within 7-10 working days.
- DHL Express International - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. DHL orders must be received by 3:30pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Priority - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. FedEx orders must be received by 3.00pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe.
- Federal Express International Economy - Item are usually delivered within 48 to 72 hours.
We reserve the right to change your shipping method without notification if you select a method that we cannot use for your shipment (for instance, we cannot ship via postal services for items over 2 Kg to International destinations). If we need to change your shipping method, we will choose the least expensive shipping method for your order.

It is now much better.
The improvement was immediate and very apparent. The bass extension and the soundstage were noticeably greater. Over the space of the week that followed I noticed more improvements as the cables burnt in. I would highly recommend.
