"GroundARAY is not a cable and not a tier in the Chord Company ladder. Each unit plugs into an unused socket on a component and gives the high-frequency noise sitting on that component's chassis somewhere to go. It came out of the same research programme that produced Chord's ARAY conductor geometry.
Because it sits outside the ladder, GroundARAY works alongside any Chord range, or alongside cables from any other manufacturer. There is no matching requirement and no order to follow. The units are passive and nothing goes into the signal path, so there is no risk of one degrading anything.
GroundARAY units are made for the common socket types: RCA, XLR, USB, HDMI, Ethernet, BNC and 3.5mm. The one to choose depends on which unused socket is available on the component you want to treat, and the effect is usually most obvious on a source or a streamer."
