Leif 3
The entry family: White Lightning, Blue Heaven, Red Dawn and Purple Flare. Flat geometry and FEP insulation at the accessible end.
Leif is Nordost's entry family, and it covers four cables rather than one: White Lightning, Blue Heaven, Red Dawn and Purple Flare. That grouping catches people out, because a customer asking for Blue Heaven is asking for a Leif cable.
All four use Nordost's flat geometry with FEP insulation, which is what gives the range its unmistakable look and its low dielectric absorption. What changes as you move through the family is conductor count and quality, with Purple Flare at the top of the group.
Above it, Norse 2 introduces micro mono-filament construction, and that is the step where the drop in noise floor becomes obvious rather than subtle. It is the biggest jump in the Nordost range and the one worth saving for if you can.
