The MC Series covers Ortofon's reference cartridges, including Windfeld Ti and Verismo. These use materials very few makers work with directly, including boron and diamond cantilevers, and are hand assembled in small numbers in Nakskov.
Below it, Cadenza is the middle moving coil range and for most turntables it is the sensible ceiling. The MC Series is for a resolving deck and arm where the cartridge is the real focus of the investment rather than one component among several.
At this level, arm matching, loading and alignment all matter, and getting any of them wrong will cost you more than the cartridge choice gains. We would rather talk it through before you order.
