Styli & Accessories

This is where the practical side of the Ortofon range sits: replacement styli for the moving magnet cartridges, headshells, headshell leads, alignment protractors, stylus gauges and cleaning products. Replacement styli apply to the moving magnet cartridges, principally the 2M range, where the owner can fit a new stylus themselves. Moving coil cartridges from Quintet upward are retipped or rebuilt by Ortofon rather than having a user-replaceable stylus. The alignment tools are worth more than people expect. A well-aligned modest cartridge will outperform a badly aligned expensive one, and the cost of getting it right is very small by comparison. A protractor and a stylus gauge between them cost a fraction of any cartridge in the range and will improve every record you play afterwards.
