Connected Fidelity Unity Two High Current Mains Power Cable

Designed for high-performance audio and A/V systems, these premium cables deliver open, dynamic sound with relaxed transparency and excellent timing. The UNITY POWER TWO series includes two models: Option 2S for source and pre-amp components, and Option 2P, engineered with six conductors, for power and integrated amplifiers. Each cable features 3.3mm² conductors made from 65 strands of high-purity tinned copper, configured in a rope weave for optimal signal flow and effective RF isolation. This design ensures reliable current delivery without the need for extra shielding or filters.

The cables also undergo deep cryogenic treatment, improving conductive efficiency and enhancing overall performance. With vibration-isolating double-layer sleeving and a robust braided outer jacket, the UNITY POWER TWO cables offer both protection and performance. Each UK plug includes a connected-fidelity 13 Amp CF Fuse to support maximum power integrity. Hand-built in the UK to professional standards, these cables are designed to support your system for years to come.

Features

  • 35 Amp and 70 Amp capable ‘rope weave’ cable designs.
  • Deep cryogenic treatment of all conductive parts.
  • Audiophile fuse in UK plug.
  • Special double sleeve vibration control.
  • Flexible, easy to fit design.

Resonance damping

The UNITY ONE signal wires have a natural fibre infill surrounding them to absorb mechanical and air borne vibration which affects sound quality. This material bulk means the cables have a larger diameter, but it is necessary for the best quality sound.

Audiophile ‘air-tight’ connectors

We specify pure silver plating over the high purity brass signal pins, which are attached to the UP-OCC wire with silver loaded solder. The ground cable (plus the shield at one end) are soldered to the gold-plated high purity brass grounding shield. The grounding shield ‘locks’ onto the grounding part of the RCA socket for an air tight contact – offering the best sound quality long term.

Cryogenically treated

All UNITY power cables undergo deep cryogenic treatment, a process that cold anneals the wires and conductive plug parts. This process enhances the power performance. No one has exactly identified how this process improves the quality of non-ferrous materials, there is no material change to be seen under an electron microscope, but we know it has a beneficial effect on power cables for audio and A/V use.

Vibration isolation

All UNITY POWER TWO cables have a double layer outer sleeving, the inner sleeve has been specially developed for cable vibration isolation, the outer braded sleeve offers good mechanical protection and in tandem with the inner, a good level of vibration isolation.

Audiophile fuse

The UK plug is fitted with a connected-fidelity 13 Amp ‘CF fuse’ for optimum power integrity. For further details please refer to the ‘CF Fuse’ section. Replacement or additional ‘CF Fuses’ are available in boxes of 3.

Hand-made build quality

All connected-fidelity products are hand made in the UK by expert craftsmen and engineers, trained to produce the finest workmanship. We make cables to last a lifetime, a lifetime of pleasure.

About Connected Fidelity

British maker of analogue accessories, cables, isolation products and power conditioning for hi-fi.

Connected Fidelity is a UK brand, and its products are made in the UK. The range covers analogue accessories, cables, power conditioning and RF shielding. It includes Unity cables, Float isolation pucks, RF blockers, a power conditioner and replacement fuses, so you can treat several parts of a system from one maker.

Read more about Connected FidelityShow less

Isolation and RF products tidy up the setup

Float pucks support equipment and reduce the vibration reaching it, and RF blockers target radio-frequency interference. Both are accessories that sit around your existing system rather than replacing a component, so they suit you if you want to refine what you already own.

Power products cover cables, fuses and conditioning

The power range includes the AC-2K power conditioner, power cables and CF fuses in 5A and 13A ratings. Some power cables use what the maker calls Wirewound Technologies. Check the product page for the specification, and match any fuse to the rating your equipment needs.

A tonearm sits in the analogue range

For vinyl, Connected Fidelity lists the CF-1010 tonearm in its analogue range. Analogue accessories are one of its main categories, alongside cables and power. Mounting distance, weight and the arm's effective mass all need to suit your turntable and cartridge, so check compatibility before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Longer cables or high-current components benefit from thicker conductors (e.g., 2.5mm² or 12AWG) to maintain low resistance and voltage stability.

A power block is the simplest solution. It distributes mains power safely to multiple components, often with improved internal wiring and better mechanical stability than standard extension leads. A power conditioner goes further by filtering electrical noise and interference present on the mains supply. This can lower the noise floor and help systems sound cleaner and more controlled, especially in electrically noisy homes. A power regenerator actively rebuilds the incoming mains supply into a new, stable waveform before feeding your system. Regenerators are typically used in higher-resolution systems where maximum consistency, stability, and noise reduction are required.

Standard power cables are designed to meet safety regulations at low cost, not to optimise audio performance. Upgraded power cables use higher-quality conductors, improved shielding, and better connectors to reduce interference and improve current delivery. In resolving systems, this can result in clearer detail, improved dynamics, and a more stable soundstage. While the effect varies by system, power cables often become more beneficial as the overall quality of the equipment increases.

Dedicated power supplies or upgraded DC supplies are most commonly used with low-voltage digital equipment such as streamers, DACs, routers, and network switches. These components are particularly sensitive to electrical noise from standard switch-mode power supplies. Upgrading the DC supply can improve timing, clarity, and background quietness. These upgrades tend to be most effective once the core system is already well balanced and you are aiming for refinement rather than a dramatic tonal change.
Loading...
Clean mains power matters to both digital and analogue systems, but in different ways. Digital equipment can be affected by electrical noise that impacts timing, clarity, and perceived smoothness. Analogue equipment, especially turntables and phono stages, is sensitive to noise and interference that can mask low-level detail. Improving power quality can help systems sound more composed, quieter, and more consistent. The more revealing the system, the more noticeable the benefits of cleaner power tend to be.
Loading...
For most systems, speakers, headphones, and core electronics deliver the biggest initial improvements. Power upgrades are usually most rewarding once the system fundamentals are already strong. That said, if you are experiencing noise, hum, or inconsistency, addressing power can bring immediate benefits. Power upgrades work best as part of a wider system approach rather than as a standalone fix.
Loading...
All cables matter, and your system will require good quality cables for all of it's connections, however, if you were looking for the cable which will make the biggest difference, then we would recommend looking at the power cables from your wall socket, to your distribution block and/or amplifier. More often than not, we hear from customers, manufacturers, and our own tests that higher quality power cables can have a significant impact of the quality of your system.
Loading...
This depends on the components being powered and the levels of noise within your local mains connections. There is equipment available to measure the noise in your mains, however, one of the easiest ways is to try a power conditioner for your source components and hear if there is any difference during your listening. If there is minimal to no difference, then a good quality power block may be your best option.
