Dela S5 Network Switch
The DELA S5 network switch brings a significant step forward for music lovers and high performance network setups. As the successor to the well regarded S10, it aligns visually with DELA current N1, N5 and S1 units, delivering a unified look alongside a clear rise in capability. It includes 4 SFP ports and 7 ethernet ports, mirroring the S1 layout while reaching a more accessible price point. Housed in the same robust chassis as the N5 and weighing 9.5kg, the S5 offers a solid, vibration resistant platform that supports stable digital signal flow.
Users can tailor port speeds directly from the front panel. RJ45 LAN ports switch between 1Gbps, 100Mbps or 10Mbps, while SFP+ ports move between 1Gbps and 10Gbps. Each port shows its active rate through colour coded LEDs, and unused ports can be disabled to reduce electrical noise and support cleaner performance across the entire system.
Representing a clear advance over the S100 and S10, the S5 provides a strong balance of precision engineering, control and value. Designed and manufactured in Japan, it delivers a high standard of reliability suited to modern audio networks and demanding digital environments.
Features
- HS-CC (Highly Stable Chassis Construction): The top and side panels are made of aluminum, the rear panel is finished with stainless steel hairline processing, and all are supported by a robust 3mm-thick steel base chassis that adds a sense of weight and stability.
- Power Supply: The power section employs the DELA Super Clear Dynamic Power Supply, which balances both power quality and capacity.
- Ultra-Low Jitter Clock: Utilizes an NDK ultra-low jitter clock.
- Connectivity: Equipped with x4 SFP+ compatible ports*1 and x7 Neutrik RJ45 LAN ports. The increasingly important SFP+ ports support 10Gbps SFP+ modules and DELA SFP direct attach cable ‘C1.’ The RJ45 ports use Neutrik ports, known for their high mating accuracy and robustness.
- Link speed selector: DELA S5 features a front button that allows variable speed adjustment for all ports. The RJ45 LAN ports can be set to 1Gbps, 100Mbps, or 10Mbps, and the SFP+ ports can switch from 1Gbps to 10Gbps.*2
- Disabling unused ports: Not only can the speed be changed, but unused ports can be electrically completely shut down. This allows you to optimize the network according to the usage status of the connected devices.
- Front color LED indicators: The communication speed of each port is displayed using color LEDs, with 1Gbps (light blue) as the standard, allowing for easy visual confirmation of speed changes. Front-mounted dimmer button is to adjust LED brightness. The LEDs indicating operational status on the left and right sides of the front panel, as well as the color LEDs on the button section, can be dimmed using the dimmer buttons. (The LEDs on the button section can be turned off.)
- Rear panel LED indicators: The rear panel, where the LED port connectors are lined up, is also equipped with LEDs that are convenient for checking connections and communication speeds. After confirming the connections, you can turn off the LEDs by pressing a button, eliminating the influence of LED control.
- Made in Japan: S5 is made by the “master” who is well trained to build the product. The factory is located in Nagoya, Aich Prefecture, which has historically been renowned for its manufacturing industry.
*1: The number of usable ports may be limited depending on the module used. The total maximum supply current for the S5’s x4 SFP+ ports is 1.8A (DC 3.3V). Please check the specifications of the modules. Additionally, our SFP Direct Attach Cable “C1” can be connected simultaneously to all four ports.
*2: There are combinations that cannot be switched due to the specifications of the SFP modules or cables. For example, if the module and cable connected to the S5 are 1Gbps compatible and the speed setting is 1Gbps, but the module used in the connected device is 10Gbps compatible, communication will not be possible.

Items over 2KG are fully insured and will usually be delivered within 48 hours of placing your order subject to stock availability. For international orders, we use FedEx or DHL services where customers have selected this option.
