DELA C1 SFP+ Direct Attach Cable
This audio focused SFP cable provides a clean alternative to optical links for users aiming to minimize upstream noise while keeping a direct electrical path. Designed for SFP compatible audio equipment, it uses a Direct Attach structure that links ports without extra conversion stages. By eliminating the additional processing found in RJ-45 and optical systems, the connection stays simple and efficient, supporting stable audio data transfer. Inside the cable, four silver plated OFC solid conductors help maintain signal integrity over short runs. The SFP module housing stands out with a gold plated exterior that delivers a firm, reliable fit compared to common modules. A mesh tube replaces standard vinyl coating, reducing stickiness, lowering the chance of tangles, and improving everyday handling while also giving the cable a refined presence. The cable supports 10Gbps SFP+ for high speed audio networks. Its design focuses on short distance performance, with a maximum length of 2 meters. The solid wire structure does not flex easily, making this length ideal for maintaining the intended performance without strain. For users seeking a direct, noise conscious link between SFP audio devices, this cable offers a focused and efficient solution.
Direct Attach
Direct Attach While SFP is abstracted to accommodate various cable formats, Direct Attach cables connect SFP ports directly without any conversion at the module part. Compared to RJ-45, which needs to support diverse connections, and optical fibers, which require optical encoding and decoding, Direct Attach cables have no overhead processing, resulting in an extremely simple and straightforward configuration.
Conductor
The four internal cable conductors use silver-plated OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) solid wires.
Gold-Plated Module Case
The robustly fitting SFP module. The C1 uses a gold-plated module that is clearly distinguishable from standard SFP modules.
Mesh Tube
Compared to vinyl coating, the mesh coating is less adhesive and less prone to tangling, contributing not only to the appearance but also to usability.
Cable length is limited to 2 meters
Due to the nature of the design, long distances are not feasible, so it is specialized for short distances. Additionally, the solid wire specification makes it difficult to bend, hence only 2 meters are available.

CDs are ripped straight into the library
A USB optical drive plugs directly into the library, so you can rip CDs without a computer in between. DELA recommends its D100 Blu-ray drive and says other drives may work. It describes the imports as bit perfect. Once imported, the files are stored on the library, ready for playback from the same unit.
Storage is chosen with sound in mind
DELA hand-picks the internal HDDs and SSDs in each library and says a properly made HDD may sound better than an IT-grade SSD. Replacing the drive yourself voids the warranty and the sound quality guarantee. By DELA's estimate a 4TB model holds about 74,800 CD-quality songs, and the E100 expansion drive adds capacity.
A network helps but is not required
A library can work without a network connection. Connecting it enables the control apps, automatic software updates and metadata when you import CDs. Tidal, Qobuz, internet radio and the High-Res Audio Downloader are supported, so one box can hold your own files and your streaming services.
Why we stock DELA
Before DELA, storing a music library meant a general-purpose NAS built for office files and pressed into audio service. DELA build the opposite: a Japanese-made library designed for audio from the start, with the network side engineered rather than inherited. If you have ripped a serious collection, that distinction is the whole point.
