DELA S50 Network Switch
The DELA S50 is a high performance network switch built for audio streaming systems that demand stability, clarity and flexible control. Evolving from the respected S100 series, it keeps a compact 215 mm wide chassis while delivering advanced functions for fine tuning your digital setup. Its connectivity includes three SFP+/SFP ports supporting 10Gbps or 1Gbps links and six RJ45 ports that can run at 10M, 100M or 1G. Each RJ45 port can be turned off when not required, helping you tailor the network to your system and reduce electrical noise.
The S50 features Clear Dynamic Power Supply technology inherited from the MELCO N50, along with an IEC inlet for easy system integration. LED indicators on both front and rear panels let you visually check port speeds, then disable the lights with a single button once your layout is confirmed. A USB power output is also available for accessories. Designed with symmetrical rear LEDs and a user friendly layout, the S50 offers intuitive control for quick adjustments. Hand assembled in Nagoya, Japan, it brings precision engineering and thoughtful functionality to modern audio networks.

- HS-CC (Highly Stable Chassis Construction) : The top and side panels are made of aluminium, the rear panel is finished with stainless steel hairline processing, and all are supported by a robust 3mm-thick steel base chassis that adds a sense of weight and stability.
- Power Supply: The power section employs the DELA Super Clear Dynamic Power Supply, which balances both power quality and capacity.
- Ultra-Low Jitter Clock: Utilizes an NDK ultra-low jitter clock.
- Connectivity: Equipped with x4 SFP+ compatible ports*1 and x7 Neutrik RJ45 LAN ports. The increasingly important SFP+ ports support 10Gbps SFP+ modules and DELA SFP direct attach cable ‘C1.’ The RJ45 ports use Neutrik ports, known for their high mating accuracy and robustness.
- Link speed selector: DELA S5 features a front button that allows variable speed adjustment for all ports. The RJ45 LAN ports can be set to 1Gbps, 100Mbps, or 10Mbps, and the SFP+ ports can switch from 1Gbps to 10Gbps.*2
Port Management
S50 inherits the well-received 100Mbps ports from the S100, and now all RJ-45 ports can be freely configured to OFF/10M/100M/1G. Not only can the speed be changed, but unused ports can be electrically completely shut down. This allows you to optimize the network according to the usage status of the connected devices.
LED Indicators
The communication speed of each port is displayed using colour LEDs on the front panel, with 1Gbps (light blue) as the standard, allowing for easy visual confirmation of speed changes. Not only the port LEDs, but also Power LED can be dimmed by the button on the front panel. Rear LEDs show connection and speed. After confirming the connections, you can turn off the LEDs by pressing a button on the rear panel, eliminating the influence of LED control.

CDs are ripped straight into the library
A USB optical drive plugs directly into the library, so you can rip CDs without a computer in between. DELA recommends its D100 Blu-ray drive and says other drives may work. It describes the imports as bit perfect. Once imported, the files are stored on the library, ready for playback from the same unit.
Storage is chosen with sound in mind
DELA hand-picks the internal HDDs and SSDs in each library and says a properly made HDD may sound better than an IT-grade SSD. Replacing the drive yourself voids the warranty and the sound quality guarantee. By DELA's estimate a 4TB model holds about 74,800 CD-quality songs, and the E100 expansion drive adds capacity.
A network helps but is not required
A library can work without a network connection. Connecting it enables the control apps, automatic software updates and metadata when you import CDs. Tidal, Qobuz, internet radio and the High-Res Audio Downloader are supported, so one box can hold your own files and your streaming services.
Why we stock DELA

We have 99.9% of the UK covered With Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. We guarantee delivery to most UK addresses by 1pm the next working day. This includes Northern Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey. Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
Please note, Royal Mail Special Delivery for next working day may not be possible where non-standard cable lengths are ordered. If this is the case, the item will be shipped via The Royal Mail Special Delivery service as soon as the cable is custom made.
For orders weighing over 2KG, we reserve the right to ship items using Next Day Pre-Noon Courier Services where Royal Mail Special Delivery option has been selected.
Channel Islands & Northern Ireland
We accept orders from all Channel Islands including Alderney, Jersey, Guernsey and Sark. Unless you select a premium service, Items weighing under 2KG are delivered using our standard UK delivery option above. For items weighing over 2KG, a surcharge may be applied for all deliveries to the Channel Islands as well as Northern Ireland.
European Countries
Deliveries to EU member states are not subject to 20% VAT after December 31st 2020 and therefore the 20% VAT on items is automatically deducted when you log-in, register or proceed to place an order.
The customer will be liable for the VAT at the local VAT rate, duty on the import and the brokerage service fee if applicable. This may need to be paid in advance to your local Customs & Excise office or the delivery company before your order can be delivered.
We offer the following shipping services:
- Royal Mail First Class International Airmail Services - Items are usually delivered within 3 to 5 working days
- Royal Mail Standard International Mail Services - Items are usually delivered within 7-10 working days
- DHL Express International - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. DHL orders must be received by 3:30pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Priority - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. FedEx orders must be received by 3.00pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Economy - Item are usually delivered within 48 to 72 hours
We reserve the right to change your shipping method without notification if you select a method that we cannot use for your shipment (for instance, we cannot ship via postal services for items over 2 Kg to International destinations). If we need to change your shipping method, we will choose the least expensive shipping method for your order.
