Furutech The Roxy High-Performance UK Power Cord - 1.5m Length
All enthusiasts look for the same qualities from their systems: Verisimilitude to the original event, a sense of engagement promoting suspension of disbelief, a visceral immersion in the audio and video experience. To engage without effort requires meticulous preparation of the entire playback chain, especially signal-carrying cables, and especially the power cord which carries the same signal your system plays back.
Picking up a Furutech power cord, from these supple, beautifully-made upgrade power cords for high-performance audio, the integrity of the cable’s build is immediately apparent. Furutech Pure Transmission quality turns a macro lens on every element of power transfer applying optimized engineering solutions to well-known problems such as contact resistance, EMI and RFI rejection, and using the best materials and processes available. The Roxy Power Cord, with its slimline FI-C15 IEC connector, is the perfect cable for those components with space restrictive IEC inlets that require a small IEC connector. It is also the perfect power cord for turntable and phono stage use.
The Roxy Power Cord has been designed and tuned to complement a wide range of analogue components. It delivers balanced energy allowing for a powerful, yet stable and defined bass. Greater extension at both low and high frequencies delivers clears and dynamic imagery in an ultra-quiet soundstage. The new slimline IEC connector also allows for easy connection to lightweight components, like phono stages and is perfect for fitting space restricted IEC sockets that can be found on some high-end components.
Optional Fuse Upgrade
As an optional extra, Future Shop will upgrade the built-in fuse to the excellent Blue 13A fuse from Synergistic Research (SR). The SR Blue fuse is an excellent upgrade choice due to the materials used which offer an increase in resolution and realism over standard fuses. Some of the improvements you may hear include; a quieter noise-floor, greater dynamics, a more relaxed sound and detailed musicality.
Contact Enhancer Option
To ensure the best possible connection between your system, Future Shop recommends the DeoxIT Gold G-Series contact enhancer.
DeoxIT Gold is carefully applied to the plug contacts of your cable and is a unique conditioning solution designed to improve conductivity and provide long-lasting protection on gold, base metals and other precious metal contacts and connections. DeoxIT Gold penetrates plated surfaces, molecularly bonding to the base metals to seal and protect both surfaces.
The benefits of applying DeoxIT gold are:
- Improved Conductivity
- Maintained optimum signal quality
- Reduced wear & abrasion
- Prevents fretting/dendrite corrosion
- Forms a protective anti-tarnishing coating
- Stabilises connections between similar and dissimilar metals
- Reduces arcing, RFI and intermittent connections
Please select this option from the above ‘Contact Enhancer’ drop-down menu and our engineers will apply the contact solution to your cable connectors prior to shipping.

About Furutech
Furutech, founded in 1988, designs and manufactures an extraordinary range of A/V cables made with extremely high purity OCC single-crystal oxygen-free copper. Furutech have several complete lines of analog and digital, power and coaxial cables available in terminated and bulk quantities. Furutech make a wide range of highest quality OEM A/V connectors and other signal transfer parts including power, speaker, IEC and specialized Hyper Audio Quality outlet receptacles. All metal components are treated with Furutech’s proprietary 2-Stage Alpha Cryogenic and Ring Demagnetization Process during manufacture that ensures the lowest achievable levels of distortion and noise.
Furutech offers a full line of elegantly engineered and designed power distribution and filter components made with an attention to detail found nowhere elsewhere. Furutech knows each and every part of the chain, no matter how small, is as important as the next, so they lavish maximum attention on all aspects of AC power transfer. As with cables, the separate parts go through the complete Alpha Process, and also benefit from the effects of GC-303, an applied material that absorbs EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). Furutech's Reference Line of cables and interconnects also include this anti-EMI technology.
Furutech's multistep and highly specialized techniques result in extremely low-noise, fast and undistorted signal transfer that begins with the incoming AC mains power, an important factor overlooked by many.
At Furutech, everyone there is passionately devoted to reaching the highest watermark in reference-grade A/V cables, OEM parts and accessories for home and car audio where Furutech maintain a very strong presence. Furutech's mission is building the absolutely best products imaginable whatever the effort involved, and offering them at a price/performance ratio that deeply satisfies every purchaser. Furutech’s Pure Transmission Design Concept improves every element of signal transmission, from the AC to the speaker.

A cryogenic and demagnetising treatment
The Alpha Process combines cryogenic treatment with demagnetisation, and Furutech applies it to its alpha-treated pure copper. It sits alongside Ohno Continuous Cast single-crystal copper in the conductor line-up, so the Furutech catalogue includes more than one route to a pure copper conductor.
Copper, silver and hybrid conductors
Furutech's materials include silver-plated copper and copper-silver hybrids as well as OCC and alpha-treated copper. DUCC and PC-Triple C copper appear in some of its cables. This range of conductors means the same plug design can be paired with different cable types.
NCF material and interference absorption
Furutech describes its NCF, short for Nano Crystal Formula, as generating negative ions and converting thermal energy into far infrared energy. It also uses a material called GC-303 to absorb electromagnetic interference. These are Furutech's own descriptions of what the materials are designed to do.
Why we stock Furutech
We do not just sell Furutech, we build with them. Their plugs and connectors go onto the custom cables we make in our own workshop, including cables for other brands in our range. When you fit a component by hand several times a week, you find out quickly whether it is well made.

Very well constructed, it works well with Kimber cables and makes them sound better than I have ever heard them. I have had the Kimbers for 15 years, one is similar price now and the other is £100 more. It is better than both. This may not be my last Furutech purchase.
