Gefen EXT-VGAKVM-LANRX VGA KVM over IP - Receiver Package
The VGA KVM over IP extends VGA, USB, 2-way analog audio, RS-232, and IR, over a Gigabit Local Area Network. Resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) are supported. The Sender and Receiver units can be automatically or manually configured to unique IP addresses to allow the connection of multiple Senders and Receivers to the same network.
Multiple Receiver units can simultaneously connect to any Sender unit within the network to create a virtual crosspoint matrix of 256 Senders and up to a theoretical limit of just over 65,000 units total, depending on the network bandwidth and number of ports on the network switch. Each Receiver unit has a built in Ethernet switch and two additional RJ-45 Ethernet ports to allow for the connection of computers and other IP-enabled devices.
USB 2.0 data rates up to 480 Mbps are supported in addition to backward-compatibility with USB 1.1. Each Receiver unit provides two USB ports with up to 500mA current draw per connector, providing access to keyboard, mouse, and other compatible devices. Bi-directional analog audio capability allows audio to be transported between the Sender and the Receiver units. Built-in mic pre-amp on the Receiver unit ensures compatibility with a variety of microphones. IR commands from the Receiver side can be extended to sources located by any of the Senders.
RS-232 serial control can also be extended between each Sender and the Receivers. Built in web server interface makes set up and configuration simple and intuitive. The VGA KVM over IP is perfect for large scale remote workstation access, and for digital signage applications.
How It Works
If you are connecting multiple Sender units, use the built-in Web interface to assign a unique channel IDs to the Sender units. Use the included VGA cable to connect a computer or other VGA source to the Sender's VGA input. Use the included USB and RS-232 cables to connect the computer's USB and RS-232 interfaces to the Sender unit.
Connect audio Line In and audio Line Out as needed to the Sender. If your computer or other source is IR controllable, connect a Gefen IR emitter to the Sender and attach it to the IR sensor lens of the source. Connect the VGA output of the Receiver to your Hi-Def display. Connect your USB devices, RS-232 devices, microphone, and headphones or amplified speakers to the Receiver unit. If the Receiver is not installed in the line-of-sight of the end-user, and IR commands will need to be sent to the source, connect a Gefen IR extender (EXT-RMT-EXTIRC or EXT-RMT-EXTIRN) to the Receiver. Connect the Sender and Receiver units to each other directly or through a Gigabit Ethernet switch, using CAT-5e or better cables. Each cable run can be up to 330 feet (100 meters) in length.
If the Sender is connected to your LAN, you can use the two additional RJ-45 ports on the Receiver to connect computers and other IP enabled devices. Connect the included 5V power supplies to the Sender and Receiver units and to available electrical outlets. Power-on all associated equipment. Use the Mode button on the Sender to optimize the picture for sharper still images or smoother video motion. When using multiple Senders and Receivers as a "Virtual Matrix", use the Switch button on the Receiver or the web interface to switch between Senders.
Note: A Gigabit switch is required. The Gigabit switch must support 8k jumbo frame packets in order for multicast mode to operate. If your LAN is not dedicated to Gefen KVM-LAN products exclusively, then a managed switch is highly recommended.

For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by Future Shop by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.

European Countries
Deliveries to EU member states are not subject to 20% VAT after December 31st 2020 and therefore the 20% VAT on items is automatically deducted when you log-in, register or proceed to place an order.

- Free Delivery on orders over £99 utilises Royal Mail First Class postal service for items weighing under 2KG. For items weighing over 2KG, we use DPD or DHL next working day services which deliver from 9.00am to 6pm within mainland UK (excludes Royal Mail Special Delivery Services and timed next day delivery services by DPD or DHL).
- Applies only to deliveries to addresses within mainland UK and Northern Ireland addresses. Applies only to orders that are to be delivered to a single Mainland UK delivery address.
- You will not be eligible for free delivery on your order if any items are cancelled or returned for a refund, bringing the total order amount below £99. Where items are returned, the refund due will be the cost of the item less any postage costs.
- We reserve the right to change or discontinue 'Free delivery on orders over £99 promotion at any time.

Special Delivery UK - Guaranteed Next Working Day
We have 99.9% of the UK covered With Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. We guarantee delivery to most UK addresses by 1pm the next working day. This includes Northern Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey. Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
For the Next Day Special Delivery service, orders must be received by Future Shop by 4.30pm weekdays. Orders after the 4.30pm deadline cannot be guaranteed for same day dispatch.
Please note, Royal Mail Special Delivery for next working day may not be possible where non-standard cable lengths are ordered. If this is the case, the item will be shipped via The Royal Mail Special Delivery service as soon as the cable is custom made.
For orders weighing over 2KG, we reserve the right to ship items using Next Day Pre-Noon Courier Services where Royal Mail Special Delivery option has been selected.
Channel Islands & Northern Ireland
We accept orders from all Channel Islands including Alderney, Jersey, Guernsey and Sark. Unless you select a premium service, Items weighing under 2KG are delivered using our standard UK delivery option above. For items weighing over 2KG, a surcharge may be applied for all deliveries to the Channel Islands as well as Northern Ireland.
European Countries
Deliveries to EU member states are not subject to 20% VAT after December 31st 2020 and therefore the 20% VAT on items is automatically deducted when you log-in, register or proceed to place an order.
The customer will be liable for the VAT at the local VAT rate, duty on the import and the brokerage service fee if applicable. This may need to be paid in advance to your local Customs & Excise office or the delivery company before your order can be delivered.
We offer the following shipping services:
- Royal Mail First Class International Airmail Services - Items are usually delivered within 3 to 5 working days.
- Royal Mail Standard International Mail Services - Items are usually delivered within 7-10 working days.
- DHL Express International - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. DHL orders must be received by 3:30pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe
- Federal Express International Priority - Items are usually delivered within 24 to 48 hours. FedEx orders must be received by 3.00pm for next day service to most destinations in Europe.
- Federal Express International Economy - Item are usually delivered within 48 to 72 hours.
We reserve the right to change your shipping method without notification if you select a method that we cannot use for your shipment (for instance, we cannot ship via postal services for items over 2 Kg to International destinations). If we need to change your shipping method, we will choose the least expensive shipping method for your order.
Worldwide - Excluding UK & Europe
