Gefen Ultra High Speed 8K HDMI 2.1 Certified Cable (Passive)
The Gefen Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable is built for the full HDMI 2.1 feature set over the distances most systems need. It is certified as an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable and carries the full 48Gbps bandwidth needed for 8K video and 4K at 120Hz, as well as resolutions up to 10K for commercial and specialist applications. It is backward compatible with 18Gbps and 10.2Gbps signals, so it works just as well with HDMI 2.0 and older equipment.
For home cinema, it passes Dynamic HDR, which adjusts brightness, contrast and colour scene by scene or even frame by frame. Its eARC support lets a TV send lossless, object-based audio, including Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X and DTS-HD Master Audio, back down the same cable to a soundbar or AV receiver. For gaming, it supports the HDMI 2.1 features that current consoles and graphics cards rely on: Variable Refresh Rate to eliminate tearing, Auto Low Latency Mode, Quick Frame Transport and Quick Media Switching. EDID, DDC and CEC all pass through, so connected devices can identify each other and work together from one remote.
These lengths are passive, with no electronics in the cable. That's the right choice for the typical runs between a source and a nearby display or AV receiver: there's nothing to power and nothing to go wrong, it doesn't matter which way round it's fitted, and it simply plugs in and negotiates the best format both devices support. The 24K gold-plated, diecast HDMI Type A connectors give a solid, corrosion-free connection, and the cable is up to 50% thinner than conventional HDMI cable, which makes it much easier to route behind wall-mounted TVs and through tight spaces.
For longer runs to a projector or across a room, the Gefen Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable is also available in 10m and 15m active versions. Gefen back it with a three-year warranty.

Extenders and switchers move signals around a building
Gefen's extenders carry audio and video beyond the reach of a standard cable, and its matrix switchers route several sources to several screens. Splitters and scalers sit alongside them. Support for 4K, 8K and HDBaseT depends on the model, so check the specification.
KVM switches share one set of controls
A KVM switch lets you operate several computers from one keyboard, mouse and display. Gefen includes KVM over IP models, which extend that control across a network, so the computer and the person using it do not need to be in the same room.
Adaptors, cables and test tools support the system
The range includes AV adaptors, wall plates, HDMI and Ethernet cables, power supplies and control processors, as well as test tools such as the DVI Detective. Syner-G is its management software. Check the product page for the items currently available.
