The SPDIF iPurifier is partly a nod to past SPDIF devices including the Genesis Digital Lense. With the very latest AMR/iFI technology, it is suited to the gamut of SPDIF sources that are on the market today. It takes any barely recognisable ‘square wave’ and with REclock˚/REgenerate˚ the signal is back to a real-world, perfect wave form.
From Apple TV to Google Chromecast to PS4/Xbox to 4K Smart TVs, SPDIF is the main digital audio output. As with all mainstream products, the critical SPDIF signal transmitted is of fairly low quality. The SPDIF iPurifier runs the SPDIF signal through 4 comprehensive stages, and the result is a fully-restored, perfect SPDIF with jitter eliminated. The result is sound quality that has greater warmth, resolution and dynamic contrast.
Restoring the Waveform and eliminates all jitter

Global Master Timing® + Memory Buffer
AMR’s Global Master Timing (GMT)/ Memory Buffer System represents a total ‘out of the box’ systematic digital solution that solves the digital SPDIF jitter issue once and for all. The Intelligent Memory System holds a large number of complete audio samples, so it may completely absorb a large amount of variation (jitter and drift) in the incoming signal, while still sending out data at a fixed and precise clock rate, regardless of variations in the incoming clock.
Central to the GMT clock system is an ultra-low jitter, quartz-driven clock system (<300 femto second crystal) capable of producing millions of different frequencies with a precision of better than 0.001Hz. We have 99.9% of the UK covered With Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. We guarantee delivery to most UK addresses by 1pm the next working day. This includes Northern Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey. Some places take longer to deliver to but we still guarantee delivery within three working days by 5.30 PM.
Please note, Royal Mail Special Delivery for next working day may not be possible where non-standard cable lengths are ordered. If this is the case, the item will be shipped via The Royal Mail Special Delivery service as soon as the cable is custom made.
For orders weighing over 2KG, we reserve the right to ship items using Next Day Pre-Noon Courier Services where Royal Mail Special Delivery option has been selected.
Channel Islands & Northern Ireland
We accept orders from all Channel Islands including Alderney, Jersey, Guernsey and Sark. European Countries
Deliveries to EU member states are not subject to 20% VAT after December 31st 2020 and therefore the 20% VAT on items is automatically deducted when you log-in, register or proceed to place an order.
The customer will be liable for the VAT at the local VAT rate, duty on the import and the brokerage service fee if applicable. This may need to be paid in advance to your local Customs & Excise office or the delivery company before your order can be delivered.

From the moment the iPurifier was plugged into my radio every single bit of the sound spectrum improved, highs, lows, width, depth, height etc. You name it. Nothing was left as it was and I’m grateful for that. As always with iFi’s ‘clean-up’ products, the iPurifier does not leave a signature on the soundscape, it just gives one more of - well, in this case - everything without changing the sound balance in anyway. The radio’s sound simply became far more enjoyable and I have decided to keep my little Argon radio. Listening to BBC Radio 3 lunchtime concerts has always been enjoyable but now it is treat. The iPurifier proves that DAB at 196kHz can measure up against CD quality streaming services - at least when the 196kHz is broadcast live by the BBC.
I suppose the audio improvement makes sense. Often, low-cost audio products apply the same main components as high-end ones but with a vastly reduced support structure. They have very few and very simple noise-subduing elements, no attempts at cleaning up the external power, barely any signal corrections or any of all the other things that can fill a decently sized hi-fi cabinet to the brim if an electronics designer really goes to town on corrective circuitry. There is no room in my tiny plastic radio for much, if any of this, so when external components can be used to clear power going in and signal going out they can have a dramatic effect as the iPurifier did for me.
I don’t know how the improvement would sound on more expensive hi-fi equipment but based on my experience, I can only and whole heartedly recommend the SPDIF iPurifer. For me, it has been a steal.
The first test was a Linn Majik DS streamer. I thought this would be a tough test, and sure enough, it was. The Linn’s sound stage expended a little but nothing to shout about. I knew it to be good, and I had a cheaper kit that I planned to use if the Linn was a bust. Just for fun, I hooked up a Goodman's Module streamer. This was Goodman’s failed attempt at entering the music streaming market some years ago. I understand the original price was around £125, but I picked one up for £14. I have to use the module a lot in the few years I owned it and have been very impressed, but it’s no Linn. Anyway, I reckon if anything is going to output some jitter, the Goodman’s will.
Hooking the iPurifier up to the Modules Toslink socket did confirm what I expected. Everything tightened up, and the sound stage expanded. I have to wonder what a 5v iPower X would add. The iPurifier is going back to the Linn because any improvement is worth having for the price. Incidentally, I was able to A/B test the iPurifier outputs and can confirm it to be a good media converter. That alone justifies the price.
