Silent Power USB iPurifier Pro
USB is a convenient way to get music from a computer or streamer into a DAC, but the cable that carries the data also carries electrical noise from the source: stray currents, interference riding on the computer's power rail, and ground loops between separately powered boxes. The Silent Power USB iPurifier Pro sits between the source and the DAC and deals with all three in one compact unit, bringing together the jobs of three earlier designs, the iGalvanic3.0, iSilencer and iDefender.
The incoming side of the connection is isolated from the outgoing side, so stray currents from the computer cannot follow the data through to the DAC. Noise on the USB power line is cancelled actively rather than simply filtered, and Silent Power's IsoGround circuit removes surplus earth paths of the kind that cause hum. If your system needs a ground adding instead, there is a 4mm grounding post on the case. The aim throughout is a lower noise floor and a cleaner signal arriving at the converter.
Connections are flexible. It accepts USB-C or USB-B 3.0 from the source and offers two USB-A 3.0 outputs, one carrying power and data and one carrying power only, with data rates up to 10Gbps. A separate USB-C input takes an external 5V supply, so the outputs can run from a low-noise power source while the computer handles data alone. A 0.5m USB-C to USB-C cable and a 0.5m USB 3.0 cable are included.
What Silent Power say about the USB iPurifier Pro
An All-In-One Trinity of Noise Reduction
We've long been at the tip of the spear in developing ways to silence USB noise - one of our earliest successes in the field was the iGalvanic3.0, and among enthusiasts it has remained one of our most pined-for legacy products.
The USB iPurifier Pro is our spiritual successor to the iGalvanic3.0, but it's also so much more. Ever dedicated to giving listeners simple and elegant tools to perfect their setup, the USB iPurifier Pro unites the features of three legendary products - the iGalvanic3.0, iSilencer, and iDefender - and forges a single, powerful new solution for combatting USB noise.
Compact, comprehensive, and uncomplicated, the USB iPurifier Pro is your personal guardian against USB noise, ensuring a purer connection between you and your music.
Galvanic Guardian
Standard USB cables and devices are designed for cheap, simple transmission of power and data, but this also allows the transmission of stray currents that cause noise and jitter.
Like the iGalvanic3.0 that inspired it, the USB iPurifier Pro uses digital isolator to galvanically decouple the input and output circuitry, eliminating the problematic stray currents while allowing the audio signal to pass through.
Noise, Cancelled
USB power circuitry can all too often become a lightning-rod for high frequency EMI and RFI, raising the noise floor and disrupting the clarity of the audio signal across all frequencies.
Following the lead from our wildly popular iSilencer range, the USB iPurifier Pro incorporates our Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology into the USB power circuitry. Much like ANC headphones, the USB iPurifier Pro duplicates the unwanted noise and inverts the phase. The two signals cancel one another, leaving you with clean, noise-free USB power feeding into your audio system.
For the most dedicated purists, we also include an external USB-C power input, allowing users to connect a low-noise 5V external power supply. When the dedicated port is in use, the circuitry receiving USB power from the source device is disabled, and only data is received, while power to both USB output ports is handled by the external power supply.
Ground Control
Modern audio setups include a wide range of devices, often powered and grounded separately. This makes it easy to introduce ground loops, and hard to identify and remove them.
Drawing from our experience with the award-winning iDefender range, the USB iPurifier Pro utilises the latest iteration of our proprietary IsoGround technology to eliminate excess earth connections.
For those who need to add a ground to their setup instead, the USB iPurifier Pro also includes a 4mm grounding port, compatible with our Groundhog+ - no matter the issue, the USB iPurifier Pro has everything you need to bury ground noise for good.
Speed without Compromise
While our focus has been to provide a wide range of noise-reducing features, we were also determined to ensure the USB iPurifier Pro never compromises on speed.
The USB iPurifier Pro boasts 10 Gigabit per second data transfer speeds, ensuring that transfer and playback of even the highest resolution audio files is never impaired, and maximising compatibility with anything you wish to connect.

The ZEN series includes the ZEN Air DAC, ZEN DAC, ZEN CAN, ZEN Phono and ZEN Stream. The iDSD series includes the Valkyrie, Phantom and Diablo, and the NEO range includes the NEO iDSD and NEO Stream. The iCAN Phantom and the Hip-dac sit alongside them.
Portable products for your phone or laptop
The GO series covers the GO pod, GO link, GO bar and GO blu, which are small units for phones and laptops. Larger portable models include the xDSD Gryphon. Bluetooth and USB-C versions mean you can choose the connection that matches the device you already own.
Cables and adapters complete the catalogue

Why we stock iFi
iFi solve specific problems rather than selling you a whole system. Noise on a USB feed, a laptop that cannot drive your headphones properly, hum from a ground loop. Each unit does one job well at a price that does not require a long think, which is why they turn up in so many systems.
